Thats like the definition of it. Thats like saying beware, this laser printer uses toner and not ink.

I bought the color version of this printer 3 years ago, refurbished. it's been the best printer I've ever bought. takes 3rd party cartridge from eBay well, saves so much money on ink since there were months that I printed thousands of pages.

it also scans well. Wi-Fi works well. best printer I've ever owned!

No knock on the poster as it's the reality of the current economy, but wild that this passes for a deal. I got my color laser for 75 bucks off of Slickdeals a few years ago, now that was a deal.

Could use another but I'm not touching the printer market until it returns to some sense of pricing normalcy.

Agreed - the OS and UI on it is a disaster. And for some inexplicable reason mine is always telling me it's out of paper, presumably because I'm printing some 'nonstandard' size (I use regular MS Office apps and the standard Canon driver), I'm constantly having to tell it to manually take paper from tray 1. What a waste of a purchase.

nice printer. duplex printing, single pass duplex scan, scan to SMB, ftp. high yield 10k tonner. people complaining has no idea what they are talking about.

I was in digital document software business. because of covid, canon, konica minolta, etc lost more than half of their printer revenue in NA. a lot of their business customers were lost forever. there's no turning back.

Agree with the earlier comment. I had this printer for a few years. Same make and model, monochrome version. It never wanted to connect to the computer, computer never recognized the printer. Always had to restart the computer and/or restart the printer for it to be recognized. And I was never able to get the scanner or Wi-Fi function to work.

I got fed up, sold it on marketplace and bought an HP from BB. In my case, the HP smokes this printer. Wireless print and wireless scan with no issues. Not sure if the model but so can get it for anyone interested.

And FYI, I bought the printer several years ago for roughly the same price….but do yourself a favor and steer clear IMHO.

That's a third party seller, not Walmart direct. You might not get a warranty if you purchase from them.
