The primary difference is Japanese/Kewpie mayo only uses egg yolks, whereas American mayo uses whole eggs. This gives Kewpie a yellower color, smoother texture, and richer mouthfeel. I greatly prefer it as topping or base for sauces. American mayo has a tang that works better for things like potato or egg salad IMO. For sandwiches, there's less of a noticeable difference. It depends on the ingredients and what kind of mood I'm in.
Runny? It's definitely not runny. I squeeze it into my sandwich and it stays in same circular circular tube shape as when it came out of the tip.

I will say I compared the taste to my Kraft mayo and the taste didn't seem that much different. Maybe a bit more tangy, but nothing special
I got this last time it was posted. I feel I should say that while all the pictures show a bag, there's a squeeze type bottle with a lid inside that bag.

How does this disperse the Mayo, use spoon, squeeze it out? A bottle would be easier

It comes in a squeeze bottle

How much is this at Costco usually? I feel like it's roughly the same price. Also, it's noticeably superior to bland mainstream mayos. Makes much better tuna salad.

I have never seen Kewpie mayonnaise at my Costco. Meijer sells it for $9 per bottle. This Amazon deal is very good price for 2 bottles.

Kewpie mayonnaise is a must for takoyaki, okonomiyaki and yakisoba. Taste of Japanese street food.

I gotta keep kewpie and dukes stocked. I used to be a best foods guy since I live on the west coast, but dukes is better for most things. Kewpie is better for dressings, dips, sauces and if you're gonna squirt some on a beef bowl or yakisoba. Great deal though

I agree that it's just a mayo, but I personally feel this is the best mayo I've ever had. I totally disagree that it is runny, and I think you have altered perception based on squeezing it out of a bottle. It's at least as thick as Helmann's or Duke's if not thicker. Japanese mayo uses only yokes where as American mayo uses whole eggs. This leads to Kewpie being a little richer.

I find that store bought mayonnaise falls into two categories. The more acidic like Duke's, or the more mild creamy style like Blue Plate. For me, Kewpie strikes the perfect balance of both.

I also love the squeeze container and wish they all had it.

Any idea about expiration for this Warehouse deal?
If you click on "New (X) From" it has listings for different expiration dates from 06/30/23 to 10/05/23 all at the same price.

I like Kewpie better than Duke's for most things. Kewpie is far creamier than Duke's. Duke's shines on acidity. If I'm doing cole slow with pulled pork, I'd probably choose the Duke's.

I've never really been the hugest fan of mayo, but I actually love Kewpie. I try to find things to put it on.

If their Kewpie was runny it was very likely too old.
