I am seeing a lot of heavy mark downs on these AM5 32gb ram sets. I just bought one for about $83 and there are others near me for a $89.96. These were marked around $119 last week so I guess they are really looking to move some inventory.

If you are looking to find ways to save on an AM5 build and you are close to a MicroCenter you may wish to check stock near you.

It appears it's not optimal to run 4 sticks on an AM5 mobo but I am going to do it anyway since I was able to get this same memory on sale in the 7900x/mobo/ram bundle a bit ago. (That deal also appears to be back in stock by me if you are interested.)

These are open box memory returns from the amazing $600 dollar ASUS mobo, 7900X AMD proc, and G.Skill memory bundle. I plan on doing the same thing as you and just bought an extra pair tonight which was open box but the price in the two Chicagoland area Micro Centers is still $119.96. The specific set I reserved was listed in the Open Box section at the Open Box price of $119.96 but its "Condition" was labeled "Complete" instead of "Complete: Opened". It looks like it was purchased and returned without being opened.

Maybe the price will drop here as well in a week or so and I can get some money back. Otherwise, I am still happy with this extra RAM at $120.

Change store locations and you will see that the Open Box memory is priced differently at different Micro Center locations throughout the country. I didn't check all locations but here are two that I noticed are lower then $119.96.

$104.96 in Marietta, GA
$89.96 in Fairfax, VA

The price was listed on the website. It's in-store only, so you may just need to check the location nearest you and keep an eye out for a price drop. Last week I was eyeing some more RAM and it was $119. Tonight I just checked and saw a pair for $83 so I nabbed them to pick up tomorrow. The rest were all about $89, which would still have been a good enough deal for me to pull the trigger.

I doubt I even need more ram, but I like the idea of getting stuff that matches what I already have for a silly cheap price because of the bundle deal I took advantage of. Ugh, I can't believe how affordable this build is for me after pricing parts all last year and getting myself set for financial despair.

Yep, I just saw an open box set listed at $105 on their site (Westmont, IL location) and ordered it. But the rest are listed at $120, just like the set I picked up and payed for last night, which I now will be returning.

My guess is that most locations will be further discounting this set of open box memory, likely due to returns from their $600 dollar ASUS motherboard, 7900X processor, and G.Skill memory bundle deal.

The price of this memory was already low. For $105 bucks, on down to $90 bucks, it's a super slick deal.
