How resilient will this face be vs ultra? Have a 3 currently, constantly surprised by what it can withstand, but I regularly use kettlebells with it on (foolish, I know) and am just waiting for the day it cracks or scratches (had a 1st gen the screen cracked on when it dropped 2 feet, and haven't been able to relax since.)

This is a great price for stainless. The sapphire alone makes this much better than the aluminum series.

Do color and band make almost $200 difference? The green with the sports band is available from Walmart as well for $280.

This is a great deal for SS with loop. I purchased the S8 SS silver 41 with starlight band when Amazon had a very limited deal for $449. Own a S7 GPS+cell 41 as well. The SS is a bit heavier but don't really notice it after awhile. The S7 and S8 are identical hardware wise except for temperature sensor for women's cycle tracking and crash detection. Supposedly the cpu has been the same since series 6 just renamed each release. I've always owned aluminum Apple Watches without issue but couldn't pass up a great deal on SS with the better glass.

I have owned the series 5 black stainless steel for a few years and it looks awesome. Frankly you cannot go wrong with any choice. These look new even today. Guess it's time to upgrade.

If you're getting the milanese loop (which you are with the silver) it's a no brainer to go with that, in my opinion anyway. It's a sizable upgrade over the sport loop included with the black one (that Walmart is also selling).
