I'm still waiting for the 3D expansion to go on sale $400 to much for me.
This set is awesome btw, definitely worth it if you like decorative pieces. Once inflation calms down will probably reduce in price again. Just heads up the plastic tray that holds everything sucks.

Your link didn't work for me, so I searched it up: Creality Ender 3 $189 https://a.co/d/2rh9FJL
And not to discourage anyone from becoming a maker, but it's not as easy as Alakazam! People who buy 3D figurines or models (or Warhammer 40k fans?) will know the extra work. Not only are the tiles 3D, but they're designed in such a way that it also looks like they nestle the numbered discs you need for gameplay into the shapes in a certain way (not necessarily flat) that the trees or mountains keep the discs from falling off. They also appear to have multiple colors of paint on each piece. And of course, there was the time spent designing the 3D shapes.
So, some appreciation to the people who crafted this. I'm not saying you personally might not feel greater satisfaction from recreating this yourself, or that the official Catan 3D is flawless (for $200 I don't expect it to be, tbh), but it took someone effort to make this.

$300 msrp? You're telling me, carefully cut cardboard pieces and plastic are as valuable as a Nintendo switch? A low-end laptop? Apple Watch? And worth more than a tv on BF? I must be going insane.

Not the same effort as it took a whole team to design and produce a Nintendo switch.
