Many times I have answered a call on my watch while my phone was not near me, or in the lake, or on a ladder 20' up, or wearing work gloves and can't remove or operate a phone. The watch you listed + a phone isn't reading my heart rate or detecting an irregular rhythm. Or when my dad took a fall asking him if it needed to calm for help because the accelerometer detected it.

the other thread that was $549 was stainless steel with really durable glass that don't scratch
biggest feature still is either you need/want always on display but the newer series have higher peak brightness to have it functional for the daylight

This Green as good as Black (Midnight), One can only identify it as green under direct sunlight or by close examining Green and Midnight watches side by side.
This Sport Band is close to lighter Olive green color, liking / not liking is a personal choice. But it goes well with the Dark Green Watch color.
For me, one of the band peice was not fitting snug in to its socket and wiggling.( Guess few others have this same issue with AW+Sport Band, bought from TGT and WM during these discounted sales)
I tried another new sport band at Apple store and found the same issue. Hence I swapped it with Midnight Sport Loop.
Hope this helps people looking to buy this green color.

Why would somebody who's interested in a smart watch buy a regular watch?
If I was worried about power or charging, my solar powered G-Shock wouldn't be sitting in a drawer for the past few years. My G-Shock does about 1% of the things that an Apple Watch can do.
The whole point of a smart watch is that it does many useful functions without the need of a phone. People use their watches for different things of course, but my Apple Watch has basically become my main wallet, I use it to pay for everything, almost everywhere I go. I don't even have to have my phone with me if I go to the store to get something. I also like gettings notifications on the AW, without having to ever look at my phone or take it out of my pocket.
Daily charging is not really a big deal for most people I would think. Most people have multiple devices that need charging all of the time, like phones, tablets etc,. A smart watch is just one more item.​
If you're a small person with small wrists, then the smaller size might be better.
