Got my carbon black nano 22. Quality is good as you expect from Gregory. I wish there was some kind of restraint for the side pouch to secure the bottle.

I just got the 22L that they clearanced in brick red for the same price. Really like it but I'm a Gregory fan. Wanted something with a hydration bladder that would be good for a little day pack if I needed to stow a couple of kids coats/carry snacks

that's exactly the reason i end up not purchasing the bag. I use compression straps a lot to secure tripods/trekking poles, and lack of them just makes the bag not so good for my personal use.

One bottle side pocket. If you have more than 1 kid, you're gonna want more pockets so they can grab the bottle from your bag themselves. I really wanted to find excuses to buy this to replace my REI flash 22 but I cannot justify it with so few functions.

Hiking pole slots on REI flash 22 is pretty sweet for hiking. Plus the two side pockets where one is extra tall for those smart water liter bottles.

Good luck y'all.

This is the reason I haven't been able to relieve my 24L Camelbak bag of 9 years. Granted it was made for snowboarding but compression straps, trek pole holes and front pocket made my weekend warrior hikes easier.

This is good for the price of the bag + reservoir which alone is $25-30.

Lifetime membership is only $30, which gets you free shipping on most items regardless of price, and a rebate on your total purchases throughout the year, which varies depending on the company's performance, but usually around ten percent. Additionally, they have deals occasionally where they give a store credit for signing up, sometimes $20 and less frequently $30 (that was the deal that got me to sign up).

I've never tried this brand, but I'm sure it wont work. Every single one I tried ran into the same problem you mentioned where it just freezes. I got a unknown brand one from Costco that had a thin layer of insulation around the tube/hose which helped keep water from freezing in the tube, but the mouth piece still froze.

You'll need to replace the tube line with one that is insulated. This will also give you the same issue, because of the tube line.
