Cost aside, I would rather add my own milk and butter than ingest whatever dehydrated artificial stuff other brands might use to simulate those flavors. Not that these instant potatoes are healthy anyway...

Totally pass, these are inexpensive as you need to add your own butter and milk to make it.

what brand do you recommend that is just "add water" ? I can't say as I've ever seen instant mashed that didn't require milk and butter.
