All movies controlled by Universal. Hellboy's first movie is owned by Sony, for instance. The first Pacific Rim is owned by Warner.

They are watchable, but I wouldn't feel a need to own those. Oblivion is also okay-ish.

I guess at this price it's not a terrible deal, for those who really like the films included, but I wouldn't suggest anyone order it blindly thinking they are getting a set of sci-fi classics.

Two good, maybe 2-3 watchables... and the rest is filler.

12 Monkeys is a great Terry Gilliam film and one Brad Pitt's best performances. Waterworld is worth it for the unintentional laughs throughout the film and if you go into it with the right attitude you can really have some fun with it. The stuff with Dennis Hopper and the eyeball is just spectacular. It's also an interesting watch if you know anything about the history of the making of the film. A couple of the rest are worth a watch if you have never seen them - Oblivion and Serenity. Agree that this ain't the best collection. As much as I loved the original Hellboy I still can't recommend the second. It was far inferior to the original and I couldn't get past the fact that didn't use David Hyde Pierce for Abe Sapiens voice.

It's on 10 discs which is nice, they didn't compress the heck out of them to get them on 2 or 3!

Lucy, 12 Monkeys, Waterworld, Serenity, and (maybe) Oblivion are entertaining to watch.

You'll want to watch the Firefly series (1 season) before watching Serenity. It'll make more sense. Still a good movie regardless, but it'll seem like there's a backstory you're not getting from the movie. Waterworld, & Repo men were in everyone's $5 blu ray bin last Black Friday.
