This service is very oversold in many markets. I am on it currently, and it went completely to pot after the $25 promo in December. If I had any other option, I would jump at it, this service is so unreliable I have to use my phone much of the time. If you are lucky, this could be a great budget option, but most are going to be in internet hell! Rant over...😄

FWIW, I switched to this service in December to take advantage of the $25/mo offer. I've been very impressed by the speed and reliability. Speed Test results are typically around 600 down and about 300 up, but it goes without saying that your results will most definitely vary by location/market, time of day, router placement, etc. I'm fairly sure you have a trial period (and there's no contract anyway), so it's a low or no risk option to try it out.

I have been a TMHI customer for a year and a half, and the last 3 months have been miserable. I am located in Central Florida. For more input from other users you can check out the TMHI subreddit, many are having the same issues I am. https://www.reddit.com/r/tmobileisp/#sort=new

Or you can go with the $10 option that hundreds, maybe thousands of people have been getting for almost a year.

I don't understand why people are happy to save $5 but don't want to do ten minutes of reading to pay a third of the price
What is this $10 option?

Signed up the $25/mo in Dec but TMO billed me $30 instead. the speed is okay (between 100m-400m) but it's not reliable, the router will reboot once a while (about every hour or two)

Totally broad statement. Would you please inform us what segment you land on that would booster your claim?

Same happened to me. The extra 5 bucks autopay discount only applies if you have less than 8 lines I believe. A lot of us on Slickdeals have more than that due to all the free lines TMobile threw at us. I have 4 unused free lines on my account lol

I signed up during the $25/mo for life promo, so I've had it for a few months now. No complaints really, handles 4K streaming and online gaming. Struggles doing two big things at once, like downloading a game + watching streaming in full 4K is basically impossible. But should be fine for 1-2 people.

Why did you have to cancel?
Service likely sucked and he waited for the promo gift before cancelling

I see, a location is suffice. Here in the other part of the country, orange county California TMHI does not suffer the same fate. Seeing that i too participate in the same sub reddit can attest to that.

I have TMobile cellular but my phone shows only two bars at my home. I assume that TMobile internet would come from the same tower and be rather weak. Is this correct?

In NYC area . Speed is reliably 250-500. The issue is ping and their router needs reset at least once weekly.

Signed up 1.5 years ago for $50 and they refused to give me the 25$ deal, and they refused the magenta max offer last time because they don't honor existing customers who are on magenta AND already have home internet.

Needless to say, both turned me off, and the reliability, I'm going back to cable, which at $50 is the same price.

In fact I'm dumping T-Mobile entirely after a second wireless account is in collections.. an account I never had, doesn't have activity, yet T-Mobile hasn't cleared it after 3 months of trying for hours and days.

I'm done with ALL post paid plans and their games. Unlocked, pre paid and cable only for Internet until someone else comes to the party. T-Mobile tried, but they were as arrogant as the other guys

Its marked as expired but I just checked and the plan is still available
Do you get this SIM card, pop it in the gateway? But don't you still need to purchase the gateway on eBay?
