I paid only one month of service, and let it sit in the box. It's automatically unlocked 180 days later.

Am I the only one terrified of going into a metro store. Have read so many horror stories of mangers making up their own rules (requiring insurance, buying cases, requiring 3 months of service)

for 1 or 2 iphone 11's? If its for one then you got ripped off. I got 2 for $133 OTD. I posted my receipt for anybody to PM. I used boost mobile XR refurb deal for $23 to port out. I was on boost for about 1 hour before I ported out.
1, went to 3 stores in person and called several. This was the best deal I could come up with. At least in the Las Vegas area.

Did this deal yesterday at a corporate store. Got two iphones for $155 total. $60+$30 for service, plus $12 insurance for each, plus $20 activation fee for each. Didn't have to pay taxes in my state for whatever reason, maybe because it came out to free.

Over all a pretty painless experience. Had to deny the upsell cases and charger, but thats about it.

Use a boost mobile number bought on ebay and a google voice number I already had unlocked for $3.
why is one of them $30? and did they force insurance

Could you share where? I'm actually on my iPhone 11 I got last time and it should be unlocked but I don't see that by searching settings for sim.

ETA is that the carrier lock in general/about?
Mine says no sim restrictions? Is that what it should say if it's unlocked?
Yes. No sim restrictions means it's unlocked

I'd rather take a cruise than have to step foot into a non-corporate Metro store.

You're looking at about $130 OTD w activation and taxes. You can get two per customer but you have to have another port number. There are no hidden fees thats about it. $60 for the first months bill they have to put u on the highest plan in order to get the promo for the free phone. $23 activation fee plus $50 taxes which is 10% of the full retail price of the phone which is $500 so makes $50. Pay $130 I total and get out.

Question on this note from posting "Device can be unlocked after 180 consecutive days (6 months) of paid service on Metro."
What if i cancel service after 1 month. 1) Can't i use another sim from 2 month onwards ? 2) lets say i cancel service after 1 month, keep phone in drawer to sleep for 180 days and after that use another sim to continue. Will that work as unlocked phone?

So can I use the number I'm getting the XR with boost mobile? Why does it say it can't be from a T-Mobile nvmo ?!? Isn't boost mobile also a T-Mobile nvmo ?!?

Would you rather, go into a metro store and try and get this deal, or bang your head against the wall for 2hours ?
