Source? The ratings seem very good on multiple sites.

I believe these were some of the worst rated parallel clamps in a fairly recent popular review on the internets. If you're interested in parallel clamps then you likely already saw it.

I've seen quite a few reviews on u tube as well. Many have ranked HF Bremen ahead of it. Just search clamp reviews and make sure to watch reviews that aren't sponsored by any of the companies that make clamps.

I see a lot of videos of Woodworkers on YouTube, and quite of few of them have Jorgensen clamps, they also use Irwin's, Bessy's, Jet's and many others. I also own Jorgensen clamps, both Parallel and Regular clamps, and they work fine for me. I guess it's everybody's preference

I have 48" Breman and 24" Jorgs. I like the Breman's slightly more due to the integrated pads, but the Jorgs work just as well.

Description says plastic head. It's a pass for me.
There are a million different qualities of plastic. People think plastic means low quality because that's the most common variety, but it doesn't necessarily mean that

I have these clamps. They are excellent and a really good addition to my Bessey collection. The single issue with these clamps is they are extremely heavy so I use them when I need a heavy clamp. They have some benefits to bessey as they dont have grooves in the bars which dont hold glue easy.

I loaded up on these at Christmas time. 48" and 24". They were $40 and $30, respectively, so this size seems to be right with that same sale. Good size for the "just get one size" crowd. Not too short, not too long. The 48's are a bit heavy, but if you need them, you need them.

The Youtubers liked them, just thought that the Bremen were a little better since they were cheaper and had the ridges/stops on the bar to keep the head from hitting your hand if you pick them up upright (731 Woodworks), but as said above, it is annoying to get glue in the ridges and try to clean it out when it is dry.

Plastic the problem? Sorry. Most, if not all parallel clamps are plastic shells on the heads. I passed on Bremens because they had MORE plastic on them and the head construction seemed less sturdy. The inner workings of the Jorgensen's are metal and cast iron. These felt a little more sturdy. Plus the Bremens were only in stock every few weeks, so I didn't want to wait around picking one up here or there.

As a new woodworker that currently owns zero clamps, how many of these should I pick up? Two? Four?
