Bora clamps have gotten a lot better over the last couple years since they improved the bar design.

As a new woodworker that currently owns zero clamps, how many of these should I pick up? Two? Four?
I got 24" and 48" parallel clamps. In my head I was thinking the 48s could handle the larger stuff while anything smaller could be done with the 24" I got 3 of the 48" and 4 of the 24", I figure with 3 you can clamp the middle and sides fairly well on large pieces. Having 4 of the 24" I could do the same or clamp multiple small pieces.

If you get these specifically, I'd aim for 3 to clamp middle and sides with good pressure, but at the very least get a pair.

Minimum 2 but as many as you can afford/fit. If you're like most of us and not made of money, you'll need to augment these with a bunch of smaller clamps.

Ultimately depends on what you're planning on making because a 36" bar clamp isn't very fun to use if you're just trying to clamp a few drawer faces in place temporarily. Parallel clamps are amazing but they're also really big, heavy, and expensive

I see a lot of videos of Woodworkers on YouTube, and quite of few of them have Jorgensen clamps, they also use Irwin's, Bessy's, Jet's and many others. I also own Jorgensen clamps, both Parallel and Regular clamps, and they work fine for me. I guess it's everybody's preference

Get pipe clamps, you can make your own lengths and have fewer clamp parts around and ultimately cheaper

These clamps are very cheaply made in my opinion I bought some I returned mine back to Lowe's after about a week. Harbor freight has a better quality clamp which is disappointing to say the least

This!

Start with pipe clamps and determine what you need from there (bar, parallel, f clamps, etc.)

I got 2 of the 48 inch Jorgensens. They work great for cabinets and table tops. They are too cumbersome for smaller glueups. As far as quality goes they seem very well made. Most reviews like the Bremen for for the value. With these on sale I believe these are a better deal.

Although I agree that pipe clamps belong in every woodworkers collection, I heartily disagree that parallel clamps are any less important. The larger faces can make a huge difference in a glue up. I selected Bessey and I dont regret it, but increasing my collection can resemble a major financial decision. Ive always heard good stuff about Jorgensen and the price seems reasonable.

How is 36" retail higher than 48"?
I think retail is inflated, 48" is 49 so I can only assume 36 should really be around the $38-43 range... Good price but not a steal. Got a few 48" for $36; wish I picked up more.

As any woodworker will tell you....you can never have too many clamps. No matter how many you buy, you'll end up needing a few more eventually.

There is a review that compares every single one you mentioned and the HF clamps were the best value…
Additionally HF has some aluminum clamps that can be reinforced ( moded) with wood and they perform really well for $20 (48")
