PLease tell me that you're being sarcastic? Chunk light doesn't compare with solid white. You might as well mention the price of a can of generic cat food.

Especially Albacore. Skipjack, or light, have the lowest levels of mercury. Albacore has the highest levels. As much as 3X higher.

48 count of albacore tuna was just on SDs twice for $18-20. This is hardly a deal.

I've tried to get on the SK deal several times but have missed it. Have gotten in on this CP deal twice before that SK deal and after it. Good stuff and worth the buck a can. Just because you miss out on a better deal doesn't mean an existing deal isn't good.

Purchased this last time. Was not impressed. Very fishy smell. More like starkist quality to me. Donated the rest.

Canned fish tend to be high in histamine... that can give it that fishy smell. It's from a breakdown in bacteria. It's compounded by mishandling. Tuna needs to be chilled immediately after catching and kept that way until final processing and cooked.

Honestly, it seems to be getting worse… Wild Planet Skip Jack used to advertise they tested mercury levels - now the same cans just say "naturally low in mercury." Almost like they can't find tuna that passes their test anymore.
