The Kingston SE9 is the ONLY great Keychain drive. Fast, cheap, all metal, and rugged. The Kingston Data Traveler with the plastic Keychain loop is a runner up. I prefer the SE9 as I had an early 8gb version on my keychain for 8 years before replacing it with a 256gb version.

I have both and they're functionally identical. Performance is virtually the same and both feel about the same temperature. The main differences are the physical design. I may have gotten a defective one but my BAR Plus is a very tight fit. True to its name, the FIT Plus fits better.
Those issues are quite annoying. However, most of the time it doesn't stop me from being able to use the device for its intended purpose. Never had one fail in the many years of ownership either. So if these issues don't bother you, they will work great for you.

Neither is good. Flash drives and SSDS slowly lose data over a few months or years.
HDDs or a bunch of blu rays are your best bet. Keep a copy in your PC, one in a drawer in the house, and one drive offsite in case your house burns down or is robbed or something.
Even HDDs have magnetic data degradation over about a decade. Optical media is plastic and fragile and can die in months or years. With HDDS, copy all the data off and back on once every 5 years or so.
Also, cheap cloud storage with Backblaze can be a good offsite backup option.
Or print everything in black and white and stick it in a box. Black and white inks last forever, color fades after a decade or so and is nearly gone after 50-70 years.

I've had two of those braided cable flash drives. Both snapped off and vanished within a year.
Been using a 32gb drive for ages.
Might have to get in on this
Plex! It's free and easy software that catalogs and subtitles and organizes your random torrents into easily accessible Netflix style UI! Plex is seriously awesome. You can stream your videos anywhere in the world.
I also have an Adata uv128 128gb flash drive that has never failed me in close to 10 years. It has also been through the wash once or twice. It too has a small spot to attach a string. I never have though.
Nah, the Kingston SE9 is about 80 MBPS if I recall correctly. Plenty fast for my use.
I mean actual cable keychain

$50 for 128gb
Currently yeah, but they were like half that not too long ago. Probably a stock issue.
I'd still pay that price, because I know it's gonna last 8 years on my keychain.
This says you're lying.

Not that I need 128 gb or even 256 gb, but I am buying another one before they go changing things and it does start failing. This is a great deal.
