Plays like nioh games but without the penalty of losing any currency as there is none, if you lose you go back to a save point/bonfire equivalent. Most of the game is min maxing character with gear and fight bosses at the end of each stage. For the price its a good playthrough, as you can play each stage and call it a day and come back and know where you left off via summary of current stage.
Plays like a ps2-ps3 era game.
Ps4 version is blurry
Ps5 version runs fine and looks better of course.
I did the free ps5 upgrade with ps4 disc.

As far as I know the PS4 version has a free PS5 upgrade so this isn't bad.

Been watching, the ps4 version which has a free ps5 upgrade, got down to $21.99 in the past 2 weeks or so ago. Waiting for $15 personally.

Is this game any good? Gotta do some research to understand how this fits into the timeline of upcoming games... its kind of hard going back to these games that have you buying noodles from food trucks with so many good games out there.

As long as you know what you're getting into, this game can be fun. It's primary focus is on its combat and class systems which are enjoyable, and if that's all you're looking for then you might enjoy it quite a bit.

I got bored of it pretty quickly however. I did have fun at first, but after the 4th story dungeon / area I felt like I'd seen everything it had to offer gameplay wise and nothing else really hooked me. The solid combat and ease of class switching could only carry things so far. Eventually the loot system becomes very uninteresting (the equipment upgrade mechanic also seemed pointless), the story overall is lacking / abbreviated, and there's zero character or enemy development. I knew it wasn't a traditional FF game, but wasn't expecting it to be so bad at loot and story.

Played the demo before the game came out. Good thing I did, because this game is trash.

This game sounds so good on paper, especially since I played the original on NES! But I've read mixed to negative reviews so I'm hesitant to pull the trigger.

Same, I was obsessed with the original FF on NES. But the reviews on this are dicey, so I'm waiting for a $10-12 price point.
