To people who don't have a Roomba (or similar), I highly highly recommend them if the house layout permits

I have this exact vacuum I purchased years ago (I want to say 2016?) when it released for like $400. This was before roborock and LiDAR etc. I recently replaced it with a Samsung jet bot with clean station for $220 which never gets stuck after configuring the map layout. In total I own 2 roombas and 1 Samsung jetbot. The iRobot 960 is old tech and it always got stuck. Ironically the higher priced models like this one vs the roomba low end series without wifi (forgot model #) are more cheaply made. The unit is mostly all plastic with the bin having plastic hinges that over time from emptying the bin break off. And they don't sell replacement bin doors so you have to buy a whole new bin which is like half the price of this unit. The battery also needs to be replaced after a little over a year which is about $60-80 last time I checked. Replacement parts from Amazon such as the brush heads are never the same fit. Make sure you keep the screw to the old 3 pronged brush or a knockoff replacement will not secure to the unit. Replacement filters are cheap but the brushes never fit if they're knockoffs. The vacuum itself has powerful suction for deep cleaning but I would say 9 times out of 10 it would either get stuck somewhere… and/or not go back to recharge to continue cleaning later on. There's no mapping system and the only way to create no-go zones is to use their little laser device. It also bumps into everything having a bumper (that's their tech)… the brush gets tangled in tassels of rugs…
All in all, for the price it's not bad. But there's just too many robot vacuums out there with newer tech that you could put this money into and don't have to come home and find it got stuck somewhere.

I have this model. Bought brand new with amazons 20% off wedding registry 6 years ago after I got married. This thing is awesome. Am starting to have problems now but again, its 6 years old. I spent about $600 or $700 and that was with 20% off (it was top of the line then, 2nd only to the 980 then which only had better battery life) and this thing was totally worth it. It's surprising how well it actually cleans and it's always surprising to see how much dirt it picks up. Given the issues with mine (keeps saying it's full when it's not, it was making a loud noise but not anymore, etc.) its tempting to get again.

This is a pretty good deal if it includes a new battery. Anyone know?

I had this one a few years ago and upgraded to the one with self emptying bin. I normally only buy from Costco but with a 2 year warranty for $140 seems like a deal.

Get some compressed air and blow it all out. I use rubbing alcohol to clean the sensors under the rollers and the contacts on the bottom. I love my 960 and just got one for my in-laws. I do this twice a year and have no issues.

Does a mesh WiFi setup have issues with these? My current Neato will not connect after switching over to a whole house mesh system.

I bought one of these around Christmas time for this price. I used it a couple of times and sent it back. It cleaned OK, but we thought it was loud. I was able to buy a Eufy g30 pro from Walmart for $100 (it was on clearance). In my opinion the Eufy is way better. It's extremely quiet. It always comes back with a full bin (we have 2 cats and a dog). And the other plus is that it is quite a bit slimmer than the roomba and was easily able to get under my couch and even the vanity in our bathroom. It's nice to know it's cleaning those places that otherwise wouldn't get cleaned. It has gotten stuck a few times, but it was understandable when it has. There are better models, but I'm just saying there does seem to be better robot vacuums out there than roomba. To me, they seem like they just haven't taken the time to update designs and charge considerably more for their name.

This does not have no go lines, so really not that important one way or the other

The firmware is no longer updated. Plenty of parts available. Never dropped wifi once when I had it

I have this unit too. Essentially bought the same deal for $250 plus tax in 2020. I've had almost no issues with it, especially none of what OP says. Sure, it might get stuck but for me it's more like 1/10 times (I don't leave a bunch of stuff for it to run over.) Lower tech than new units but for $140 I'd buy it again in a heartbeat. I was actually thinking of getting a second unit for upstairs but there are too many shag carpets. Biggest downside is not being able to send it to a specific part of the house as we have a large, open floor plan.

The camera and good suction make it a great entry level unit nowadays. As for the replacement parts, heck buy two and it's cheaper than an i3.
