Your feet might not get wet in bad conditions but you'll be slipping and sliding all over the place. I love Nike trail shoes on dry ground but as a whole they have the worst traction on wet surfaces.

The truth right here - these and the wildhorse are my favorite trail shoes I've ever used but the rubber on the outside in the wet is atrocious for a company as large as Nike.

Thank you. That was my concern looking at the construction. I've had good success with Vibram trail shoes with wet rocks etc.

Im looking forward to these and wildhorse 7 (ordered both). What exactly is the issue with wet surface?

Pretty sure these have a new outsole so that issue *should be* gone.

I have version 2 and 3 of these. I slipped going down some stairs 3 times in them. I luckily avoided injury but none of my other shoes have caused me to slip as badly as them. Wear them for dry days or if I'm on a hike/trail ONLY now.

Sounds like this new version isn't even waterproof, which is crazy.

They are just super slippery when it gets wet. Mud or just wet conditions are not really the problem, but smooth surfaces (rocks, bricks, pavement) can become very dangerous to run on at speed. I live in Utah where it's dry, so it's always been easy for me to deal with.
