This is a "clicky" keyboard, so don't know if your Huntsman that you have is "clicky" "tactile" or what. But if this is an office environment where others may be opposed to "hearing" your typing (pretty loudly), this one may not be the best option for you. I have this one, a Huntsman and a Blackwidow, all clicky because I personally love the sound and feel. But I also work from home and the only person who has to be bothered by the sound is me.

If the noise isn't an issue, then I will say it's a bit of a challenge getting use to the travel (or lack there of) of the Ornata compared to that of the Huntsman/Blackwidow. The latter two are my daily drivers, so when I do happen to go back to the Ornata from time to time (not every day), the quality/accuracy of my typing does take a bit of a hit. I also notice that my fingers kinda hurt when I use it for prolonged periods of time because I think I try to click down "harder" with the Ornata (because my fingers are just used to pushing down more given the longer travel on the Huntsman/Blackwidow) due to the less travel.

Ultimately, I do really like the Ornata, but given that you already have a Huntsman, you may find yourself in the same situation as I find myself in if you're consistently going to be swapping between the two. I hope that feedback helps.

I'm on Mac too and I was looking for various Mech keyboards recently that were compatible for Mac.

I ended up getting a Keychron K2 V2 on Amazon and it was Mac compatible out of the box, with the proper command and option keys installed. It comes with extra key caps for Windows too, so somebody can swap them out whenever they want. There's also a switch on the side of the keyboard to switch between Mac and Windows. Mac is the default out of the box.

You can choose the key switches you want. They have Red, Blue and Brown.

It all comes down to individual personal preference. I ended up getting the brown for myself and I'm happy with that choice. It's the best keyboard I've ever had. It's a joy to type on.

The model I bought was about $100, but they have other models for cheaper and others more expensive. It all depends on the options that somebody chooses (steel frame, wireless, hot swappable, RGB, size of keyboard and number of keys etc.).

It's been this price for a few days now (weeks, even). Good deal on a good keyboard. We picked one up for my wife a couple weeks back and I liked it so much when I first used it yesterday, that I ordered one for myself this morning. No longer available at B&M stores near me, though, so will have to wait until it ships.

Can anyone chime in how this would be for office work? I got a $200 Razer Huntsman V2 for my home computer and love it, but there's no way I'm spending another $200 for the office, or taking the keyboard back and forth with me, so looking for something similar that I could type on for hours.

Do you care if it's RGB or how it looks? There are plenty of actual mechanical keyboards with different switches available at a low price point now.

Couldn't care less about RGB, especially for the office. Do you have any suggestions?

Any recommendations on mechanical keyboard that's Mac compatible? Definitely RGB I won't be doing any gaming with it. I'm on ps5 just would prefer full light control. Seems some will work but I can't customize. I appreciate any help.

Anyone have any experience with this keyboard?

Is it similar to Topre switches or something else entirely?

Really appreciate the feedback! The Huntsman that I got is "clicky" and I love it. I'll give it a try and see how it goes. The fact that it has less travel does give me a little concern, but we'll see. Worst case scenario I have to go 10 minutes out of my way to return it.
