You may save a few bucks, however if you have had no issues I would consider not making the switch because Fi uses TMO and the underlying carrier makes a big difference in your quality. While TMO has excellent speed in metro areas, there are still many rural and lower density areas where coverage is just piss poor and they use b12 to bandaid it which is horribly slow. But if you are a city dweller, it shouldn't matter. If you are really interested TMO has a 3 month test drive, so you can use that to test the network and see if it works for you..
As for a better deal, you could go to the AT&T $300 prepaid which if you use cards is like $22 a month, except it is limited to 16 GB + rollover however it does get good priority and more importantly has no limit on hotspot (whereas Cricket has no hotspot in that plan) as it consumes your data no different than regular data. So if hotspot is important to you, and you don't regularly go over 16GB this is a good gig.
You can also buy prepaid Cricket cards when Target has sales, so you could shave 10% off your bill with little effort.
Thank you very much your information is very helpful - I know that cell phone carriers can be very hard to recommend because it's completely up to where you live.

My entire family moved from Verizon (because they became so expensive) to Cricket and are just happy. Funnily they get better coverage also. Sometimes you gotta chill.
Good price. Looks like Google Fi uses primarily T-Mobile networks? We just swapped from T-Mobile (even though we were on a grandfather plan) to US Mobile because where my family lives in Missouri T-Mobile is awful. US Mobile uses Verizon's network and is $20 a month (plus ~$4 in fees) for 4+ lines.[usmobile.com]
And this is why I don't live on the east coast anymore. Every town/county/municipality adds random fees. Pretty soon youll have to pay tax for each pair of shoes you own there
From what others have posted, these fees are in line with other states, including Texas, which is not on the east coast the last time I checked.
I must be the only one pretty happy with Google Fi... I have the unlimited plan currently, but since I'm always on WiFi, I'm dropping to the per gig plan. The network is significantly better than it was a few years ago in my area. Verizon is probably the best American network, but if you plan to travel abroad, then the T-Mobile network is the most economical, whether direct or from an MVNO. Another bonus of Google Fi is the data-only SIM cards your can get for other devices.
This is tempting and I thought Google Fi uses multiple carriers when roaming?
*Also, any idea how much taxes and fees would add up approx for 4 lines?
**UPDATE: A friend of mine told me in TX for the 2 lines unlimited data plan for $80 the taxes and fees are $18, which is A LOT! So I imagine for 4 lines, those would be even higher.
Yes, prepaid wireless state taxes went up a lot last year for Texas because of what the legislature decided. Can google to read about it, but basically why im on visible now since they eat the cost of the high state taxes

Watch out on those plans I was under the impression it's throttled but its $10 a GB when you go over and I was charged $80 for december and $100 for January before I noticed. Just upgraded to unlimited for $50 a month. Just sayin read all small print.

You're very confused.
On the flexible plan, you're billed for actual data usage at the rate of $10/gig for the first six gigs, then it's free after that.
On the unlimited plan, your data gets slowed after reaching a generous quantity, but you don't get charged beyond that.
It was the plan you are all talking about so.... Just a word of caution.
It is actually unlimited calling texting and you are correct 6 GB of data so I'm not sure where you think I'm confused at but thanks for telling me something I already knew

Zippy you downvoted my comment and others because this is a regular price and they charge you ten dollars a GB when you go over which is absolutely accurate. Then you sent me a comment that my comment is totally accurate but said im confused. Why am I confused because my bill says they charged me #1 $16 in fees over the $20 fee so I paid $36 total for the $20 unlimited plan. Then you say thats impossible? Tell that to google fi and my bill. I can upload if you would prefer.

4 lines @ $20 each = $80 + $16.17 in taxes/fees
3 lines @ $25 each = $75 + $11.79 in taxes/fees
not sure why this was posted today. i've had the $20 for 4 lines for several months and I dont think that was a new price then
