These are phenomenal tactical games. They have very limited RPG elements to them. It is a very unique gameplay that requires both strategy and skill. The storyline is excellent with fantastic voice acting. Valkyria I was absolutely amazing Valkyria 2 and 3 were quite different and then Valkyria 4 was more of a true sequel to 1. I enjoy the FF series very much and I enjoy these games also but they are quite different. The storyline is linear but highly entertaining. For $12 this is a fantastic deal for two fantastic games.

These are the kinds of games that you will have lifelong fond memories of.

I'm not an anime fan at all and this is one of my favorite games. Resist the urge to Google solutions to any mission unless you're utterly and hopelessly stuck. Figuring out each mission on your own is the way to go.

Even googling how to do it didn't help me get past a certain point.

I wanted to like this game and played the parts I could get through several times, but always got stuck at a specific part.
