Also, for all of you that got a lifetime deal years ago, no one cares.

I told them to go pound some sand!!
Speed wise, in the beginning months, I'd get nowhere near the same speeds as I did with NordVPN (between 8-17mpbs on average), whereas with the first month or two with Windscribe, I'd be lucky to hit 2mbps. The speeds eventually got much higher, but they only happened once I cut back on how much I download (the poor speeds discouraged me from downloading higher quality stuff overall). Or now that I think about it, once the holidays were over they got better.
I sort of expected that Windscribe might be at least a bit inferior, but I didn't think it would be enough that it would bother me, especially considering the price and length of the sub. I was wrong on that. Nord for me just worked, it just felt like my normal everyday internet. Windscribe just feels like a compromise.
If you only use the dekstop app and download speeds aren't important to you, it's probably better to go with Windscribe, but otherwise I'd recommend staying with nord.

Guys it's absolutely worth trying windscribe out for the longest while my experience with it was very positive (BUT.. see below) .. I think there's a free version you can download and try first before buying this too ... but I'd like to share my experience though it's absolutely worth noting it could be just me alone suffering this problem.
After I first installed it to Windows 10 (stubbornly remained on Win 8 for the longest time out of laziness
So if it was me personally.. make a backup of Windows (I've heard good things about even the free version of Macrium Reflect but make sure you create the macrium reflect recovery usb drive too if you go that route, even a 16 GB cheap usb 2.0 drive will do the trick) before installing this so you can restore your previous version of Windows if necessary as an absolute last resort if a call to your internet provider doesn't work.. then again it could be just me having problems.
Makes me really sad actually, I was enjoying using my (yes I know no one cares I got a free windscribe account

And I do realize that there's a good chance streaming services won't be easy or maybe even possible to use with VPN in the not so far away future since they're seeming to crack down more on "account sharing" and whatever..
Finally, I'd like to say that I've seen Windscribe work in some instances when other VPNs were blocked. I feel like it is one of the lesser known VPNs, and not in a bad way
Edit - realized it might sound silly I'm asking about streaming services, but also comment on having used Windscribe. I have a 50 or 60gb or whatever allotment like the other guy, but I haven't really used it for streaming myself, and also only have access to so many services
This total comes to $55.73, so an even better deal.

You're that guy that dabbles with things you don't quite understand, even if you think you do. So please spare giving out bad information.
