Thanks OP, I am going to give this another try. I had to buy one last month for $60 as my service was expiring in a few days Could not apply on Tracfone online, required me to call. I called in the evening and got overseas customer service, and they easily entered the sym.to my existing number, but no new time or service was applied and their only response was to get rid of me by saying to wait 72 hours. The next day I called during the day and actually got USA customer service. After a great deal of unnecessary verifications, he easily was able to add the service and time. I pressed him on the problem and he explained the tracfone and verizon software systems have a well known account conflict, and to get the transfer of the new sym to complete properly additional account information has to be manually entered.into the verizon system. I have a unlocked Moto phone already on verizon service

Agh yes TracFone customer service lying, deceiving and just straight up foul with the just wait 48/72 it will magically fix itself ( was a port in knew it had to be fixed by a rep lol ) you just have to keep calling back to get right rep that knows the job. Lol SMH they getting bolder too last month couldn't add minutes/data/ or text via app or website and rep couldn't do it 45 minutes (and blaming CC ) it wasn't and refused to transfer to a supervisor etc. Just hang up and find a better rep.

Yep, always HUCA (hang up call again) with TF. Rarely do I get same answer twice.

Yeah I know shits bad when you can't stamp them no more . I fully get it had to swap an att SIM and another imel ( original was unlocked iphone bought from apple store years ago , been using points to add Data/ txt when needed then suddenly I couldn't buy anything ( decided to order a few sims just because I had a fun feeling glad I did ) had to swap to another unlocked iphone and " upgrade to Verizon" Sim. I finally got it to work that way and was able to add / buy data again . I think they trying to push everyone off Att and T-Mobile sims personally. I wish ( as does everyone ) the merge never happened to be honest.

I usually do but sometimes these sneaky bastards try to act like they are doing something to help. I should have known better ( but thought seriously they won't help me spend money lol that's an odd call to stall )

I saw this and thought about listing it on SD - but the reviews continue to be bad. Many SIM cards sent out without minutes, texts and data. How many times can Tracfone/Verizon send out 99 cent SIM cards in lieu of the real deal? I recommended a deal like this last year - and regretted it.

Surprised you got that response & they knew what you were talking about.
TF support usually denies even having an eBay store - despite it being there for years. Hope it works out, at least eBay is easy to deal with if it's not preloaded.

Do Not Buy!!!

Just tried to activate sim from this deal and no text data minutes or time were added. 2 hours with multiple people including supervisors in customer service and no help but lot's of BS and wasted time. I'm moving to another carrier.

EBay will refund - item is not as described. Have received several refunds for these in the past.
Even got refund for 2 flip phones because TF didn't bother responding to eBay request for replacement when part was missing.

Have done this for the past 2 years. YMMV is right. Always a problem if you arent activating in a new phone. Best to make a clean break, buy phone with plan and pretend you arent an existing customer. When I did this and used Google Voice, no problems. Last year I bought this deal for the BYOP and had a 2 hour support call while they tried to put a new number on my unlocked TF phone. Even if its unlocked, TF prevents normal activation for this SIM. I'll probably do it again because Im a sucker for a deal and this is the best going for my use case.

If you can use Tmobile, Redpocket has cheap annual plans on Ebay. Like $2.50 and $5 a month cheap.
