Tried RP, they gave me a number from other side of state even though T-Mo service is available in my area - I tried changing number twice but support kept using wrong area code instead of a local one so I always look like spam.
It works, but I have to use it with my GVoice number.

Thanks for the info. I may move to RP if TF gives me a hard time again. I use GoogleVoice as my primary so I can switch carriers without the hassle. Really just need some data when I'm not on wifi. 200mb/mo will do it (used 1400mb since last may on TF)

I haven't had any other troubles from anyone else.

My account expires in April. I guess this is the best option they're going to offer. If I get it now and can't get it to transfer to my current number, is it returnable within 30 days?

ebay has a 30-day money back guarantee. also, the listing says

"30 day returns | Buyer pays for return " --- that's from Tracfone.

Although Tracfone isn't always great at returns. But you are protected by Ebay, also. Also, if you pay via paypal, paypal will refund your money - that's how i got my money back off one of these cards when tracfone didn't reply to my request for a return.

Hey folks - I could confirm this deal worked for me. I was on chat with Tracfone for about 30 minutes and basically you cannot directly use this to add to your Tracfone branded phone even if unlocked. You need another non-Tracfone phone which they add this SIM to then transfer time / data / txt / voice to your existing account (as someone earlier had eluded to). Didn't even need to switch SIMs - all they needed was the IMEI number from the non-Tracfone phone. I'm happy - thanks OP!

Unfortunately the SIM card I received did not activate. I wish they would provide a Plan PIN number so I can just add the new plan to the current SIM card. Disappointing and will probably just purchase a reload card instead of gambling on another SIM card.

Same I'm only calling in to activate these from now on and swapping to a " new" unlocked IMEI as the reason

They used to have a promo code that took the $125 365-day plan of 1500minutes/1500texts/1.5GB down to $85.
Ever since Verizon took over, all the promo codes went away.
If you just want the service date extended, it is slightly cheaper to buy 30 day service plan and then add 365 days to it for an additional $50.

No codes, no support. Tracfone worked for me and my parents for the last decade and more but after the reward points are used up I am leaving. It's Verizon who ghosts their customers. I don't want to do any business with such a company..

I reported it as item not as described & never had to return any of mine because TF did not respond & eBay automatically refunded it. Sim is only worth $1 if there's no plan included so they rarely want to have it shipped back - but if TF does want it returned buy a $1 BYOP sim & move your current plan/number to it.
