I found out a couple years ago that leaving the phone on the charger 24/7 for a few weeks kills the battery (swollen) toot suite. I was trying Alfred on older phones with removable batteries.
How about plugging the charger into a timer, only charge for ?? 1 hour per day ??
Can you sell the minutes and just keep the phone? I want a cheap android device but don't have a use for the minutes
Sim/Plan is linked to IMEI of phone so no, can't resell plan - it's done that way so people can't resell.
Only value here is the service, phone itself gets very poor reviews.

I imagine it's a matter of expectations. I've been using this phone as my daily carry for the last couple of weeks. It's OK, pretty comparable to a Moto E6. (But with more memory). I'm not a power user by any means. It's not as nice as my Pixel 4A (surprise). It's not as smooth as a iPhone SE (surprise.) Unfortunately, neither of those is a $50 phone, either.
Great price for that plan. It might be downvoted either because slickdeals trollers (I just upvoted it), or because of final cost:
$10 first time customer and 15% off non stackable. However still a decent deal. Shipping adds $6 unless you purchase over $100.
These days people want everything free to be slick.
There should be/there was a pop up in that official page that after entering your email (a bit if clickbait if you care bout your privacy), they would automatically send you a 15% coupon. Not sure if still working, but the setback is you can only use either the 15% of first purchase or $10 new customer, not both at the same time.
I like this phone, but I don't love it. It's not an everyday phone for me, but it's better than some I've had in the years gone by. It's perfectly fine for average use, and does what I want to do on the 'net. The Bluetooth earbuds work well, not that I'll ever buy any.
If you want another number for app accounts (that's my motivation), or more TF minutes or months, this is a great deal. Maybe you'll get lucky, and they'll send you a $15 off $30 coupon for unlimited use through March 14. Yes.
Come to think of it, I do love this phone. $27.14 w/tax, minus cash back (site) and credit card makes it easy to love. Without a coupon, I'd buy fewer.
Curious how existing tracfone users work this deal
1) add as a new line to existing account to get the 5,000 reward points, then merge the remaining service with an existing line after 60 days
2) transfer the service to an existing line right away
Seems like #1 offers the best value but not sure if I'm missing something

They've reduced the add-a-line bonus to 500 points.
