I went into the Best Buy outlet in Kennesaw, GA and they had an 83 LG OLED G2 there marked for $2599 in excellent condition. They also had 20% off all TVs. So final price was $2158.39. YMMV on the 83 inch G2.
The 20% off is through this weekend.

thanks to the OP. I was able to get an OB 43 inchToshiba (really made by Hisense) 4K TV for $137 including tax. The "price" on the TV at the outlet store was $201, and they discounted it from that price. New it is $230. This is the outlet store in Manassas VA, a 'burb of DC, and about 15 miles from my house. They had a lot of TVs in less than decent condition, but several in excellent condition with boxes in good shape. Thanks again for the head's up.

What was the discount? With 20% it would only bring it to 160.

looked like they stacked two "bundled" discounts on the receipt to bring the overall discount to 55+% before tax. No real description on the receipt, but it was done by their system, not by an associate overriding a price.
The TV works well, no damage (screen protector was still on) except the remote control volume button is not working. I was able to change the volume using Airplay on my iPad Pro, so I know the volume actually does work, but not the cheap fire tv remote control.
It was a pain to get it up and running on the wifi, and I have it 6 feet from the router, the most recent Verizon FIos router available. I had to use an ethernet cable to get it to work initially. I don't want to return it, given the price, but I might look at getting a roku or used Apple TV to bypass the remote volume control issue. muting button works, but not volume.
Is it safe to assume that online open box pricing is current and just calculate 20% off that price? Or could it be lower in store?
I think sale is over now, the Kennesaw outlet sale went through Sunday. It would be even lower than the open box price. They added additional discount to mine when I checked out.
Picked up a 65" qn95 at the Charlotte store 1200. Excellent certified condition. Selling for 2599 currently so can't complain. 20% still going at the Charlotte store.
They had a 65" c2 evo that was unmountable for 848 final sale.
Just picked up a 65" G2 for $1184 in Houston, zero hours on the counter. Just wanna say thanks OP. Coming from a 55" mu6290, I had no idea what I was missing.

He basically said the 20% off was a President's Day promo but they extended it another five days, so I'm not sure if that takes you through Friday or Saturday. It's applicable to the open box price on the website.
I honestly don't know if the G2 was listed because I went in looking for a B2 or C2, maybe an S95B. The inventory matched online pretty well. I will say the 65" C2s all seemed to be missing something or other (stand or remote or both), which is why I cut open the G2. Saw the mounting hardware unopened and figured...hey, 24 months 0% interest over $1,000... my guess is someone bought it then returned when they realized it didn't have a stand.
Also impulse-bundled a JBL Bar 2.1 for half its original price. Not sure if that was the right move, may swap it when I've had some time to research.
I think there was probably better selection for S95Bs if you're open to that, but they're still getting TVs in. Also, warning - anytime I was inactive at the Outlet's website for like 5 minutes, it relocated me to another store and I had to start all over. Watch out for that.
Two stores in my area showed Open Box 83" G2's available for $3700 as of this morning, went to take a look and the rep said they're selling off their G2 display models. The one I checked had 3100 hours on it. Going to wait to see how prices continue to fall on the 83" G2 as the G3's take their place soon.

Thinking someone priced a C1 in the system on that.
