Wait....what about $45 cash card...first it was $40 cash card with coupon, then it became just the $45 shop card....now just $30 cash card? I mean frankly (at-least in CA) Costco doesn't offer much in terms of bulk discounts anymore...if anything most of these are costlier than outside...barring the convenience of everything under one roof including gas there is not much advantage i see (i must admit i haven't used Costco travel perhaps that in itself is worth it...or not)...their opticals used to be good..but now the quality of frames have gone down drastically...they don't even last a year...

Sorry, I don't know how Costco determines "new member" status. I would guess name, email, address, credit card # are all factors, but I don't know how they determine status.

Is this math correct? My membership expired August 2021; that will be 18 months at the end of this month. I should qualify starting March 1, no?
