Thanks for posting this, it's almost identical to the hp I was looking at just night but I like dell much better. I really want the 14 cores.

Let's stop making up stuffs. Any example you wanna share of those semi-custom non-supported hardware?

previous gen alienware owner. back when usb 3.0 and ssds came out, major issues with ssd, graphics driver issue compatibility and usb 3.0 speeds.

they just don't support it after the fact.

support was no help, and forums yielded poor results, accumulating in my junking the device after terrible year of use and buying a standard asus ROG. default non custom drivers, no issues. 5 years running

ymmv as usual but highly caution anyone against these devices for long term

And how long ago is that? I mean USB 3.0 came out a long long time ago and taking an example of that time to say a 2022 or 2023 models will have same issue is kinda lame, don't you think?

The way they manage the bios updates is a nightmare. Currently, have one and when they can't get the features to work they disabled them in bios limiting and just hid it from the user. Was also a major issue in December of last year where bios updates caused boot loops in systems running just fine.

tbh I think buddy is an advert and/or commissioned and would disregard any positives from 'em

DO NOT buy this.

There is a 4070 laptop deal in this price range. 3070 Ti is old tech now.

Ive had 3 alienware laptops and EACH had at least some hardware that would not take manual updates to newest software. My 1060 gtx being the latest one. That pissed me off, but not enough to pass on dell.
