  • When a man escapes from a biological testing facility, he sets in motion a deadly domino effect, spreading a mutated strain of the flu that will wipe out 99 percent of humanity within a few weeks. The survivors who remain are scared, bewildered, and in need of a leader. Two emerge--Mother Abagail, the benevolent 108-year-old woman who urges them to build a peaceful community in Boulder, Colorado; and Randall Flagg, the nefarious "Dark Man", who delights in chaos and violence. As the dark man and the peaceful woman gather power, the survivors will have to choose between them--and ultimately decide the fate of all humanity.

M-O-O-N - thats how you spell deal!
lol - total garbage. He doesn't employ ghost writers.

Have read his books a long time - his style is as recognizable to me as an old friend's voice.

Troll much?

Does a street-preacher troll satan?

Do doctors without borders troll disease?

Does a fisherman troll the waters when he slowly drags a line behind his boat?

The end is NIGH!

No, seriously. Stephen King is a decent guy with great ideas, but his writing is like a screenplay and feels like blunted edges that don't fit nicely together.

Completely independent of that, Kubrik's movie is and remains a quotable piece of utter garbage without depth. Good actors, good story but it is a perfect example of the differences between a good director making a movie and a popular director 'doing what they do'. Hell, it wasn't even Jack's best "alcoholic being abusive" performance, but I guess that's a bigger sub-set Big Grin

In the end, it's like pretending that "Star Wars" (original movie title) wasn't the most wooden performance that Mark Hamill (whom I think a lot of) ever gave, like a high school play, or ignoring the fact that "Indy does nothing to further the plot in Raiders"

Pretty boneheaded comment.

I agree your comment is devoid of substance and a complete waste of space.
