I love the people who down-voted but offered no rebuttal.
Let me go ask those people in the California mountains buried under 9 feet of snow who haven't had power for a week how that electronic car is working out for them. I hope they had enough food stocked up to last. Probably almost as badly as those who were in the way of the California wildfires and forgot to charge their electric car the night before. Say, where does your electricity come from again? Likely a gas fired plant. While we're talking about California, they can't even keep the electricity on in a heatwave and we're supposed to believe in 10 years when they're going have the infrastructure to support every single new car sold being an EV? Let me get some popcorn. It's going to be an interesting failure.
Should we talk about the fine carcinogenic dust from the tires that the extra heavy weight of EVs cause to be released into the air? The Ford Lightning has a battery that weighs as much as a Honda Civic wedged below deck in its frame. Think it's going to handle driving through a foot of flood water as well as a gas model? Keep dreaming. The thing can't even tow a trailer. Speaking of batteries, how many fossil fuels are spent mining those rare earth minerals? The life between charges of EV batteries gets less and less as the years go by, just like cell phones and everything else battery powered. Then it costs $15k to replace them. Who pays for that? Let me guess, "government credits!" Otherwise known as robbing Peter to pay Paul. That money comes from somewhere, nearly always reducing services and raising taxes for the rest of us.
EVs are nothing but a big political sham. Take a look at which political party big oil historically donates campaign money to and how much they donate. Have you figured it out yet? Or are we just going to continue ignoring the elephant in the room and pretend the blatantly obvious is not the reason why "climate change" is pushed so heavily?
