Just got this a couple of weeks ago for the same price and I'm very happy with it! Compared to my Vizio 5.1 system this is a huge step up. I put Dune on to test the Dolby Atmos and it sounded great, I had the biggest smile on my face the whole time lol
So you could actually hear the ATMOS effects from two small speakers pointing straight up by the TV reflecting off your ceiling???

No, it won't work that way. Only surround "sounds" come out of the rears.
I don't know how you do that but that's a amazing Talent!!!ApplauseLMAO

For this kind of money, probably the Jamo set at woot + a budget amp + subwoofer.

https://slickdeals.net/f/16457620-jamo-studio-series-s-803-home-cinema-system-white-or-black-150-free-shipping-w-prime

or look for something like a used Pioneer Andrew Jones setup used on FB marketplace. Takes some work and space but will walk all over a soundbar like this LG.
Jambo is junk, avoid. Andrew Jones sets are better or even definitive sets in the sub $600 range

Buy real speakers if you have the space (no snobbery).
I already have decent l&r, f&r, center, and bass speakers. Are there decent cheap (<$200) amps available for surround sound?
If so, suggestions please. Thanks much

You just pucker the rear a bit so only the high frequencies come out. 😂.

A pucker and a push is always a gamble though. Practice makes perfect!

What's the score behind paywall. Wtf rtings sold out.🤮
The LG S75Q is a 3.1.2 setup released in 2022. It's one of the manufacturer's high-end models for the year with Dolby Atmos support, alongside the LG S80QY and the LG S90QY. It uses built-in Meridian Technology to improve audio reproduction, and you can connect it to compatible LG TVs for TV Sound Mode Share. However, it only has two up-firing Atmos drivers compared to the 3.1.3 S80QY and the 5.1.3 S90QY, and it doesn't offer more premium features like AI Room Calibration to optimize the bar's sound based on your room's acoustics.

Our Verdict
7.2 Mixed Usage
The LG S75Q is decent for mixed usage. It's a pretty versatile bar with Dolby Atmos support, though its height performance is just okay overall. Out-of-the-box, it reproduces pretty clear and accurate dialogue, and its discrete center channel enhances the quality of voices in TV shows. It lacks low bass, though, so you don't feel the rumble in bass-heavy music or action-heavy movies. Surround sound is poor, though you can add on a wireless rear speaker kit separately to improve its performance.

PROS
Dolby Atmos support.
CONS
Some compression at max volume.

Is it better than Samsung Q910 B ??
I just got the 910 from Amazon, I'm pretty impressed. I found it for $599 from one of their sellers . Totally worth that price.

Can anyone advise on whether this is better than the Samsung HW-S800B for $260 deal?

I have an LG C1 OLED, so wondering if it's better to keep it all LG (+rear speakers) or go with the Samsung because it looks like it has better performance overall. If it helps, this is for a living room with mostly streaming and PS5 gaming. Appreciate any advice! Thanks!

I have this soundbar and I like it. Would it be better if it wasn't a soundbar, sure, but my setup necessitated a soundbar at the moment and I purchased this one because it works together with my LG C1. I paid $350 around Black Friday and it's worth that but not more, IMO.
It gets loud. I sit 8ft from my tv and this soundbar sounds great and the subwoofer hits.
One thing that is important, I use e-arc and you definitely need to use the HDMI-Optical/e-arc input. It does not sound as good on the Bluetooth input.
You also need to download the app and increase some of the settings for surround, sub, and atmos speakers so you can hear them separately from the bar.
Does the atmos work, sure. I actually used the Xbox audio setup to test at one point and you can distinctly hear the sound from above you when it tests for atmos, so it does work, although it's likely not the best support.
I'd consider myself a slight audiophile. I appreciate good sound and I have a dedicated sureound in my living room.

I'm happy with the soundbar for the price and for what it's supposed to be, a soundbar. Will I upgrade to a dedicated system one day, of course, but will this be fine until then, definitely.
My 2 major complaints are that it sometimes loses the input it's supposed to be on and you need to correct it via the app (it's rare but happens). My other complaint is that, because it's a soundbar and only 32" or so wide, the soundstage is a bit narrow for my 77" tv. It sounds great, it's just narrow. You'd have to be an audiophile to notice or care though.
If you like the price, I'd say go for it. It's one of the few atmos bars that have dedicated rear surrounds.
Oh that reminds me, the rear surrounds have a weird setup. They work fine, it's just strange how LG decided to make it work and idk why they did it this way. There is a dedicated box to hold the wifi for the tears and then the tears connect via regular speaker wire to the wifi box. The wifi box needs dedicated power supply. It's not the end of the world and it works and has been 100% reliable, but it begs the question of "why". Why not just put wifi and power in both speakers. It would make placing them a lot easier IMO. The box just seems unnecessary.

Anyways, I'd say buy it if you are on the fence. Don't pay more but $350 is a fair deal. It's well built and sounds great.

Thank you - this is a great post and now I am second guessing my purchase of this LG system.

I have a PIoneer Dolby Atmos receiver, a Polk PSW10 and a Kiipsch Quintet V surround system which I was too lazy to run wires to and hook up. I have a '22 C2 48" LG OLED TV in a fairly small room, so thought that this soundbar (mated to its native LG TV) would sound just as good. I am far from an audiophile, but it seems a waste of $ for me to do this rather than use what I have which (IMO) is a superior setup. If I didn't have these components, I would 100% go with this sound bar setup.

Don't sweat it, your setup will be fine there isn't really a huge benefit to having an LG soundbar with the OLED. They can do "sound sharing" but that just lets you use the sound profiles in the TV with the soundbar. I have an old receiver in my living room matched with another OLED and e-arc turns the receiver on/off with the tv without having to use two remotes. That's the biggest thing for me is using one remote so as long as your receiver supports e-arc then your OLED should work fine with it and you can use one remote (if that's your thing like it is for me)
