I'm in the market for a C2 77" but am second guessing spending $2k-ish on a TV that won't last more than 5 years. Is it an unrealistic expectation to buy a 10 year TV these days? Feeling burned after my TCL 6 series died after 4.5 years and willing to invest this money for quality of screen and life but not just for screen. I know there are no guarantees but maybe there are reviews out there that have evaluated longevity likelihood
I have 4 TVs all over 6 years old and I'm just hoping one dies so I can get an OLED. One is a refurb ChangHong brand I got from NewEgg and sits in the garage year round, still works!

My 65" LG B7 from 2017 stop working properly last summer. The greens are overly green and skin tones etc don't display properly.
I have a 2018 b8 that had the same issue, contact lg directly and they will authorize a one time replacement on the panel and only charge for the labor. Ended up being $200 for a new panel that will hopefully last longer than 5 years with all The improvements they've been making.

Interesting. No burn in? I have a C7 and mid part of the screen has good amount of burn in. I checked by running one of those YouTube videos.

I'm in the middle of processing a cps claim currently. I'm 3 weeks in I got accidental damage on a c1 77inch. My problem is the tv repair shop is not sending the estimate to cps to move forward. I can't say they don't cover if they will cover a damaged screen. Maybe they didn't before but I'm pretty sure they cover now.

I have an LG C6 OLED from 2016 with no burn in. Seven years and going strong. It's so nice I can totally see me getting another three years out of it.

That's really lucky. My B7 has massive burn ins. The amount of image retension is just crazy on that tv. I leave it 1min on a static image, then it will stay for another 1min literally after i switch. So now i iust have a very specific use for it where the burn in doesn't matter. But damn C6 still going strong great job!

I just received my 77" c2 from this deal last time it was up a few weeks ago. Came in original packaging, plastic still on screen, 0 hours screen time.

A TV that last 10 years. Yeah they don't make those anymore. Not good for the TV business having TV last that long.
If you are keeping TVs for 10 years you are missing out on all the new technology advances. We go through TVs like toilet paper.
