I like that it has a 17" screen. I noticed that it is 10th gen processor. Is this much different than a 12th gen processor? I don't usually see the 17" laptops for $400. What are your thoughts?

Less than FHD, HDD instead of SSD.

The same resolution as my 17" PowerBook G4 from 2003 except this one is 16:9 instead of 16:10. Definitely not a good resolution for a display of this size in 2023.

**edit:** completely missed the part where it uses a mechanical hard drive. What year is this?! If you're comfortable with old technology I'd get one of those refurbished Dell deals that pops up every so often with much better specs for less.

I assume there's a nvme slot so the mechanical hard drive could be used for backup. But yes, it's a silly idea to sell a mechanical hard drive as a primary drive in 2023. I'm looking for a computer for a client who doesn't have much money and would like a 17" screen to watch movies on. The question is, will I be able to find anything like this for under $400? We're not talking gaming here.

Not worth it considering its not 1080p, and no SSD by default? Crappy low end laptop tbh.

The colors on the screen are washed out.
