I really like Monopric's Monolith audio equipment but have never used their basic stuff (although these seem well designed for near fields just based on reading about them). I went ahead and bought a pair of these for my desk and we'll see how they do.

I bought the Monoprice MM3 (their "audiophile" version speakers) and thought that Edifiers sounded better. Not sure about these specific speakers but the MM3s had a really loud annoying beep when you connected via bluetooth. Monoprice speakers weren't for me, but otherwise I'm all for Monosprice branded stuff.

Having both mono and Edifier. Edifier is better, but more $ 😁.

But i hate Edifier remote. It seem only remote can do switching inputs🤔, no manual button

Out of all the budget edifiers the R1700bts has the best clarity. Obviously a price jump over those mentioned (last sale was 130) but comes with a sub output which is highly recommended for such small speakers.
