Not to crap on your deal but to make a point; especially for those of us who think Craftsman - American Made!
I was in a Sears last week (probably one of the few stores left) and reviewed their tool sets. Every tool I came across w/the Craftsman Brand is made in either China or Taiwan. I even tried to look at items in the back and all were the same. While these prices lately were great (incl. 5% discount for military vets), I fear that the quality of the name will be diminished over time. Even w/a free warranty replacement - the replacement you will get (even if taking in your old Made in the USA Craftsman tool) will have come from China or Taiwan.
Hopefully they hold up... Great price though, considering what you're getting.
Historically Sears contracted out to various domestic tool companies to manufacture tools that were stamped with the Craftsman brand name. They started going overseas at least 20 years ago. There were still the occasional Craftsman hand tools made in the USA up until recent years.
Now that they sold the name to Stanley Black & Decker, Sears can still make their own Craftsman-branded tools for some period of time. I'm pretty sure that's what this set is, a 'Sears Craftsman' set as opposed to a SBD one. The SBD Craftsman sets sold at Lowe's and other places are not made in the USA either, though they are supposedly close to getting a factory up and running in Texas. However I will say Chinese tools have come a long way, and Taiwan-manufactured tools generally have a reputation for somewhat better quality than China.
This set is probably comparable to the 210-250 piece sets with filler bits that everyone has a version of (Husky, Kobalt, Hart, SBD Craftsman, etc) and sells throughout the Black Friday season annually for $99.
Taiwan made stuff in the tool world is generally considered to be serviceable at a minimum and usually quite decent. The production standards in Taiwan are much higher than mainland China. The stuff made in mainland China CAN be decent but usually it is substandard in some way. I try to buy US made tools when I can but it has gotten a lot harder/more expensive.
That being said, Milwaukee is opening a new tool factory in the US and is supposedly going to produce a large variety of their hand tools here in the US going forward. Even though they are owned by TTI, I'm still really happy about that.

They've been made in China for years now. The pieces I own have been solid for just as long.

China and Taiwan make way better tools than in years past. Craftsman hasn't been USA in a decade. Most people know it hasn't been for a while.

When my son was born 13 years ago, I stocked up on USA made craftsman tool sets for him. They're still in the garage waiting for his 16th birthday.
Figures that he is turning out to have zero interest in working on cars. Oh well, the future is electric anyway.

I used to own a car shop and bought a Tesla last week. Electric cars still need tools to be fixed.

Let that sink in.
I live in New England and to the best of my knowledge there isn't a single store left.

Those recent deals on Performance Tool brands are also great. Made mostly in Taiwan with some USA here and there.
But generally I hit up FB Marketplace and Craigslist for used USA stuff. You can find a ton of good deals on Cornwell, MAC and Matco stuff.
Snap On still brings a big premium in most people's minds. Often people have them for sale for 10% less than truck pricing.
