Get up to $730 off when you switch to T-Mobile on Magenta® MAX
Via 24 monthly bill credits when you activate a new line on a Magenta MAX rate plan and bring (port-in) an eligible number. Online only.

How to get this offer:
  • Have or switch to a Magenta MAX plan and port-in an eligible number on a new line.
  • Purchase a new iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro, iPhone 13 Pro Max, or iPhone 13 mini on a monthly payment plan and pay the applicable sales tax on the pre-credit price at time of purchase.
  • Receive up to $730 back via 24 monthly bill credits.
I am sure there have been discussions on good deals available only on premium plans. But, to those on Magenta Max already, this could be a good deal to bring in lines from outside especially when BOGO line offer (2023 Line P1) is also going on for those accounts opened prior to Dec 19, 2022.

It checks all the boxes that many dislike, except no trade-in needed. I have not come across any recent deals for free iPhones that doesn't require a trade-in.

I have 2 lines on ATT with $700 still remaining for devices. Can we stack both offers ? Like switch offer and then stack with this offer ?

Good luck with the bill credits. I had to call pretty much every month for two years to get my correct credits. Absolute nightmare. Never buying something from T-Mobile via bill credits again.

Have done several (10+) purchases / upgrades in the past 2+ years including 4 during Thanksgiving last year. All involving trade-in and bill credits.

Agree not everyone has the same experience - good or poor.

I've always been envious of the T-Mobile and Verizon deals, but can't justify the high costs of the plans, especially the Max or similar tiers. What's the motivations for Max fans? MNO priority, B&M support/access, bundled services, and these types of deals? Personally, going the MVNO route has always been far better ROI, so genuinely curious.

Seems like a good deal if you already plan to use a plan like this. Still waiting on grabbing an iPhone 13 mini someday.

Several have methodically added lines over the past 2-3 years when T-Mobile gave away free. As 4-5 lines typically cost $30-40/month/line, it makes sense to have 9+ lines to reduce per line cost further.

With 20% lifetime Insider Discount (with confusing order of discounts that works in customers' favor) and free lines, I currently average $12/line/month on Magenta Max. Even if the discounts are properly applied, it would still be only at $16/line/month, which is much cheaper than any MVNO can offer. Combined with periodic upgrades on premium phones, this has been a no-brainer.

It took us around 1.5 years to get to where we are now, and we intend to stay however long possible.

Nice info. So you have several lines and when you added "free" lines, they are free for the foreseeable future? That's pretty sweet. Thanks for the reply

A typical family plan (4-5 lines) is no longer economical. We need only 4, and the rest are shared by two other families, and we split the bill. Free lines remain free as long as it meets its eligibility criteria. There are some restrictions on the account when you add a free line (cannot drop lines for 12-months). There are BOGO where you need to retain both lines for discount to continue. Those free lines are also eligible for phone upgrades.

What means "port-in an eligible number on a new line"? that means add a new line ? if yes, this is pathetic no deal. if it means just switch from existing non magenta max line to magenta max, then it is a deal but not a great deal cos max costs higher. i have 4 lines with tmobile and it is magenta plan with one line on the max plan and the three other on regular magenta plan.

It is clearly posted as port in / new line. ✌🏼

No deal is going to appeal to everyone.

If you are currently on Magenta, see how you can maximize your discounts and if that means porting out and coming back after 3-4 months as a new customer then that's your route.

I will be doing just that as I ported out two paid lines late last year which I plan to bring back as BOGO with two free phones.

I fighting them right now on credits. They put the $800 credit on the wrong phone and only giving $400. Then the two $400's they say they don't have the phone but send me two receipts over a month back for those two phones. And the chat service is a waste of time / they just lie their ass off to get rid of you. Total BS joke. My last chat was 3 hours because I refused to end it and eventually a supervisor got on just to end it 🤣

I wish I could put in a posting filter to stop seeing these worthless (to me) Magenta Max deals. But then I'll miss the rate one that says "do not need to have Magenta Max".
