Updates are gonna be non-existent. That's a lot of money for no long term support.

The Lenovo for videos, iPad for games and general use. I have the iPad as well (older gen, but with the same display as the 9th gen), and while the display is decent, it can't compare to any OLED display I have seen so far.

Also, the 16:10 aspect ratio of the Lenovo displaywill work better for videos than the 4:3 aspect ratio of the iPad display, but I prefer the 4:3 ratio for everything besides videos (browsing web, editing photos, etc.).

Yes, this is better than the 4GB version for the minimal price increase. Because of how Android OS is designed now, it actually performs way smoother with higher Ram and you will actually notice that in a 6GB version compared to 4GB.
This tablet is pretty powerful and the SOC is somewhere between a SD 870 and SD 888+, closer to the later and for this price, I don't think any Tablets, costing iven $100 more, come close to this.

the CPU is between the 860 and 870... it does not compete against the 888

it's basically a more efficient less powerful D1200

So tempted.

The only tablets that interested me have been the Samsung S series, but they're never been affordable with specs/storage I want, even a couple of generations old.

This has all the specs, and an OLED screen.

Is there anything else equivalent?
only imports are going to be equivalent, even Samsung now only gives OLED for their top models

Is this the model that can be used as an external monitor via HDMI, not via wifi with Freestyle?

About time this got posted lol. Someone posted the coupons in the other 4gb thread for this 6gb one this morning.

Anyway, this was BF price on Lenovo as well and there were several who got it complained about green tint issue due to this being low-quality OLED screen. Their fight with Lenovo to get a refund was a nightmare, after facing the same green tint issue on replacements from multiple exchanges. I was about to pull the trigger on this deal this morning but stopped due to those comments. Also, Lenovo sucks at providing software support. So just know what you're getting into.

I feel you. However, but bluetooth headphones/speakers have been the standard for a while. They're not expensive. I grabbed 4 JBLs higher quality sets for $100 at Wal-Mart via slickdeals. I think jacks should always be included but that's what companies do. We can't change it..go with the flow.
Even if you don't want a DAC dongle for your cans, you can get a USB-C adapter for $8.

This isn't a problem for people who actually want to use wired headphones with their devices.

Especially on a tablet of this size I agree. I can handle not having one on my phone, but a tablet like this is practically designed for media consumption, so why not put a headphone jack on a tablet this size?
But if there is a headphone jack people wouldn't be able to use it in the shower!

For those that might need a stylus, this doesn't come with one but uses the Lenovo Precision Pen 3.

Unfortunately it's currently out of stock on Lenovo's website.
