800 TBW is more than the average user would need for 10 years, but I agree this would make a great storage/games drive.

Original question was which is a better value P3 Plus vs this. The linked review shows the Solidigm beating the P3 plus in benchmarks like 3DMark and PCMark.

But P3+ outperforms in sustained write speed for the first 2 minutes, and is still ahead cumulatively in amount written at 15 minutes. To me it's a bit hard to gauge based on the review -- I'm not sure small differences in random performance will make me happier vs waiting longer when doing large transfers.

I guess the question is how often do you transfer over 150gb files? Realistically I think they are both very similar, and probably wouldn't make a noticable difference either way to the great majority of people.

Just buy an external if you're worried about storing ps4 games. Wouldn't make any sense to get this for that purpose lol. You can get many more tbs for less money with an external hdd to store ps4 games.
