Amazon has the Google Pixel 5 reduced to $169 for the black and sage colors. They have the standard 90 return policy and have software and security updates until Oct 2023. Google has it slated for Android 14 and possibly beyond. -Now black $164 & sage $163

Let me be crystal clear. Pixel 5 is by far the best footprint that Google ever made. Weight, size, fingerprint reader (that works)...everything was pretty much spot on. I have had the 6 Pro and now the 7 standard, and I do not like them out of the box as much as I enjoyed the 5..

I've had exact opposite experience since 2021. All renewed devices before 2022, I've returned. But since 2021, I've gotten like new devices. Even older devices (iPhone XR, X) were in mint condition.

I had a Pixel 5 and I hear loud and clear. I also have a Pixel 5a. One of the reasons (others being the rear fingerprint sensor and a better camera) I got this was that I could hear much better compared to top flagship Samsung and other phones.

This. If the oleophobic coating is shot (which they seem to be on a lot of these refurbs) it's going to be a fingerprint magnet. Got an s21+ in 'good' condition for $230 and it looked like the screen and back panel had been replaced because they were spotless compared to the side rails. Was pleased initially but then compared it to other phones and noticed (especially in daytime during outside use) that the fingerprints were just unbearable. Decided to go with an open box that was advertised as essentially brand new (comes with original box which is a good sign) on ebay for around $100 more from a seller with 100% positive feedback and 27k reviews. Hopefully, it's as good as advertised.
