Dude have you read through any of the comments? With so many people still commenting that they missed the deal, it's obvious how many people don't take a little time browse through the comments to track the progress of the deal.

Anyone can get this deal whether your location has it in stock or not. Ask a Best Buy rep to order it for you and they will charge you the sale price. Simple as that. I know it's hard to comprehend Best Buy doing something right after the iPad price match fiasco from a couple of weeks ago but people really need to check the thread comments and stop asking the same questions over and over again

$220 for a Name brand 5.1 4k receiver? And speakers? And a sub? Maybe 10 years ago.

I just paid 250 for this receiver 2 months ago refurbished.

It's a solid device BTW. Paired it with a JAMO set.

My local store in PA showed 2 in stock @ $649.99. Took a chance and drove 12 mins to the store. Didn't find any on the shelf so asked employee and he noticed 2 on a shelf up high. He got 1 down and I asked him to scan it. It rang up $220.99 so I bought it. He called over another employee and showed them the price since it was such a good deal. There is 1 left. If your store shows in stock, I would go check it out b/c there's a good chance it's on clearance.

Yep, its 220.99 across the nation. Online shows normal price but instore when scanned its clearance price. A lot stores show 1 in store. It's highly possible theyre in the back (happened to me)

How can you tell if it's in stock at your Best Buy without calling in? Add it to your cart to see if it gives the option for same day pickup?

Also, has anybody tried buying online at the regular price for in-store pickup to "reserve" the item and then return and rebuy it for the sale price?

You check online and it shows availability based on the ZIP entered. A lot will show "1 available" from that you gamble to drive to store or call in. It seems to be accurate bc now it shows "available ship to store". It doesn't show that they have it on hand anymore which was 1hr ago that i bought it.
