Can't get 30% off to apply, appears dead. Yes, I tried the wide varieties, not standard.

That's why I switch all my tie laces to the stretch nylon ones. No tying or untying.

I don't understand why any manufacturer still uses cloth tie laces.
I tried them. They are fine for just walking or sitting around, but if you are running, stretchable shoe laces don't give a snug fit. You can't tie it down because they are stretchable and run the risk of being overtightened. And the tightness of the shoelaces migrates if you are running with them. You end up with super tight areas that start to cut off circulation.

Regardless of the laces that you use the back heel portion of these sneakers is so thin that even if your laces are completely undone and you have the tongue sticking out unless you insert your foot perfectly and don't touch the back it's going to fold over on itself
You are apparently looking for a slip on shoe. That isn't how sneakers work with or without stretch laces. With the stretch laces, you have to bend over (or sit down), put an index finger holding up the back, while using the other hand to hold up the tongue and slide your foot in.
It's really not that difficult. D'oh.

Bullcrap! You didn't have them laced correctly then. I have used them for at least 10 years on a wide variety of sneaks and they work perfectly fine. If they are too tight, then you need to loosen them. Because they are elastic, this involves loosening the laces downward through all the holes. Once you get something that works for you, you hardly ever have to adjust them in the future.
