I think they do this only when the bundle has a tool that doesn't utilize HP output, such as the driver in this kit. Although the other 2 tools do use the higher amperage, I guess they just defaulted to the cheaper batteries for the driver. I find it annoying as well

I would get this in a heartbeat over the brushed. The light in the brushed kit is worthless and the 5.5" circular saw is pretty weak.

Is this worth it with the free gift? is it a big deal? I just purchased a house and looking to start getting some tools. Currently have a black and decker drill that i bought for 20$. Im not a builder or anything just want to have something nice to last for small projects around house
