When I checked out it showed only 54 left of the free gift. Definitely a short lived deal.

I don't think it was an error, and I do think there's a good chance it will come back into stock. I've been watching the main combo for like the last month, since I missed out when it was $199 plus the free gift of two 4 aH batteries. Missed that one by literally 1 minute (I was mid-checkout when clock hit midnight PST and prices/promos ended).

Shortly after it was $299 with the free 6-port charger & 2 batteries gift.

Then it went to $199 + current free gift. I watched it at $199 for a while until I tried to finally buy like two weeks ago, but then the free gift was "sold out." So I called HD customer service to see if it would come back in stock. Rep told me it most likely would, and that both the combo price and promo were good til end of April.

With that info I procrastinated more, till I checked it on Sunday and saw that the price had gone back up to full retail (still with gift). Got angry at myself and the HD rep.

Randomly checked again yesterday and saw that it was now $149, with free gift. Decided to pull the trigger. Bought and confirmed that the order went through with an HD rep.

Then when I was checking the order info at like 3 a.m. PST, the product link was showing up as "this product not available" so I thought that maybe it was a mistake.

Buuuut I just got my email confirmation from HD saying it's on the way to the store so it looks legit.

TL;DR: Home Depot's promos and pricing on Ryboi seems to fluctuate literally day by day, so keep checking and hopefully you'll be able to snag this combo in the next few days. IMO it's one of the best Ryobi deals I've seen, because the drill and driver are the nicer versions of their small brushless models.

@rocco_h Yes, I was in the market for some batteries they had at $149, but OOO. Next day, price went up but they suddenly had plenty. I waited and it eventually dropped again. I'm keeping my eye on this, as I have the compact brushless drill/impact. I really want the saw
