While I suppose this may be more dimensionally flexible, the highly-rated WEN base is $10 more on Amazon, carries a higher load rating, and doesn't require any additional materials.

For a relatively square base, this is probably a better buy. The nice thing about the kit OP posted is that it'll fit virtually any size stand/base (provided you supply the wood)

Edit: Upon further review, I had the one you posted confused with another. The one you posted is far more flexible, and will handle a wide variety of sizes.

If you can, double up on ply when you build this. I went with a single 3/4 piece of ply for my Jet BS14sfx bandsaw and over the last two ish years the board is sagging so bad it almost scrapes the ground. I'm gonna be replacing it with an all metal one soonish.

The dimensional flexibility is a very big deal though.

Certainly no discounting that, but provided your needed dimensions fall within the WEN's ranges, I'd be inclined to go with a fully metal base (as a previous poster suggested based on experience).

Amazon links and even Hd links often don't work on mobile. Please just paste the name we'll do the search.

How people like these, I'll never understand it.

A) It's BORA. That should be all you need to know.

B) The base is super weak with plywood.

C) If you have a 1/16" washer on the ground, it might as well be Mount Etna!

D) Horrible casters. It's really a nightmare to control larger items.

E) There's so many better systems you can make that will do a better job, for less money. You could even use low priced set of 4" casters, and 4 flip up door stoppers, and you'll be better off.
