Just a heads up, you can connect a Nintendo Switch (OLED or regular , not the lite) , directly into this with just usb c to usb c ... pretty slick for mobile gaming, no dock needed

I'd look for a tablet mount. Plenty exist on arms much like monitor arm stands. You could even hack together your own [pinterest.com].

Good luck!

I bought this for $180 from Target during the monitor shortage back in 2020...I remembered keeping tab on prices for over a month before pulling the trigger. The image produced by the monitor is very nice - I chose Viewsonic because from all the monitors I've ever purchased, I've never had a defective pixel on a Viewsonic (LG and Samsung is notorious for dead pixels). The biggest flaw is the design of the rear stand - it's only on one side (right side). If I just accidentally knock it on the left side with my keyboard for instance, it just topples over. 90% of its use-case for me however doesn't require the stand - I currently have it on a piano's music stand so I can read music, see Logic Pro X, use Arturia V Collection while playing the piano, etc. A normal monitor is too heavy and would just break the piano's music stand.

I've been wanting a separate display to show my Outlook calendar all day long (I combine 4 calendars and need to stay on top of my schedule).
I'm super tempted, but I want this off my desk... I don't see any way to mount this easily.
Can someone suggest some kind of stand for this? Bonus points if it's something that I can attach to my desk or even a stand that'll sit on the floor next to my desk. I'd especially love to have this be vertical instead of horizontal.
TIA!

Thanks for the suggestion Jon. I saw those exist after I posted the above... I was thinking about https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B096FYJ35J/.

The purpose of this is mobile. Certainly there's got to be something (used?) for you that's less $ and meets your needs. As fpr a stand next to your desk? That's an accident ready to happen. This likely won't survive that crash.

Worst case, get a table and login to your email from there. If you need something from your desk top then open that tab and reply. But use the tablet for watching your inbox (which only sounds like an unnecessary distraction but to each his / her own).

They have another version of this product that has a built in riser which I love but it's much more expensive. Waiting for a deal on the that but I wish it was a standard feature.

Not sure if the coupon will be there for everyone but I just ordered this one and I'm waiting for it to come in this week. For $99 after the 50% off coupon it was worth the risk. I really only need it for with my MacBook Pro & Final Cut Pro…I run my workspace in dual monitor mode and my browser will be on this monitor. I have an ultra wide monitor in my office…but for times I am mobile and editing it should work perfectly.

I got my sister one of these, different brand same specs for about 85$ on Amazon a month ago. I wonder if they're any different. There's so many clones. Hers is pretty great. I can't imagine paying extra though.

I like these little monitors to dedicate to a single purpose, like you're intending. I use mine for Slack.

I picked up an OLED 13.3" inch portable monitor on Amazon yesterday for $150. Not sure if good deal or not, but seems like a normal price for a portable monitor

I have an Asus one that has similar specs. It works pretty great for work when I need to go to a job site but I need to show clients something so we don't need to crowd my laptop.

You could probably find a regular monitor for less than this. These are made to be portable.

If you really want to use one if these portable monitor like that, look for one with VESA mounts on the back. I recently bought this for travel. It's a great looking monitor and can be mounted. https://www.amazon.com/UPERFECT-P...0BHNLZCNF/
