Great value. The HP motherboards can be picky when it comes to additional DDR4 RAM modules. It's not uncommon for the motherboard to lock the RAM speed to the lowest possible setting after the upgrade.

Seems good. Decent for gaming, babby's first Stable Diffusion station with 12 GB VRAM, etc.

Isn't this a known problem with motherboards or even particular CPUs? Two slots fine, speed goes down with four slots populated.

I'd consider slumming it on 16 GB, then replacing them with 2x16 or 2x32 when you see a good deal.

In a future build I will look at Mini-ITX with only 2 slots. 48 GB DDR5 modules have officially launched, so you can now get up to 96 GB in 2 slots. Likely 128 GB within a few years after 64 GB modules finally appear.

Does this have a second M.2 expansion slot? 512GB would fill up pretty quick.

nvm, it's in the decription:
Expansion Slots

1 PCIe x16; 3 M.2 (2 for SSD, 1 for WLAN)

The air is everywhere and in everyone. It goes in, it goes out. We are all interconnected in a beautiful web of life.

Unless I'm not understanding the question.

HP may refuse any warranty service. When I contacted them last time, the customer service said just opening the case and replacing SSD or RAM would void the warranty. (So I returned mine as I didn't like it.)
Costco had this model with i7-12700, 3060Ti for about $1200 last year. I bought one with a $300 cash card rebate so the final price was like $900. I think $715 now for this refurbished computer is not a good price, in my opinion.
