I built mine on a flat carport and the roof still didn't line up well even after they sent me a replacement. Other than that it's relatively solid and pretty easy to build. I built it by myself in 8-10 hours.

The monthly Costco book is now a "front page deal" on Slickdeals?

What a joke! This site has completely gone to hell since it was bought by Goldman Sachs.

14" LG Gram $699 worth it? Any feedback
That's what I'm eyeing too. Not a jump on it crazy steal, but good deal I think for a 12th gen i7/16/512 and about as low as it goes for those specs for ultra light.

Geez patio furniture is so expensive now… anyone else know of a place that sells good patio furniture without being 1,799 on sale? Lol
Google is your friend, I know that I spent quite a bit of time searching and comparing when we were buying. The quality varies a lot so factor that in. I think we did Wayfair and spent $1000 for what we wanted but that might be very different from what you are wanting. To state the obvious, the fall is the best time for deals in patio furniture but I'm sure most people know this.

Price match question: Do I need to physically take the item back to the store to get a price match or can they look it up on my card?

Anyone have experience with the FoodSaver vacuum sealer? I just bought a sous vide cooker and am looking for a vacuum sealer.

I know it's not necessary for sous vide but we would definitely use the vacuum sealer for freezing food as well. Since this is set to be $25 off starting tomorrow I might pull the trigger.

Supporting Sam's is pretty anti-American with how they treat their employees. Their products are mostly trash also.
If you want to go down that route, they are both just portals to Chinese goods and the Chinese employees making those goods are treated far worse than Sam's employees.

Costco is kind of like apple. They have a massive following of fans and a ton of goodwill. Even if they stop being very competitive, it's going to take a lot to get people to stop going and go somewhere else instead.

Don't underestimate how many people will choose to pay more for perceived quality and higher class atmosphere versus good prices. That's how Target stays in business.
This is true. I've known many people who were both Costco and Apple fans which seems to go hand-in-hand, the same way as Walmart/Sam's and Android. In many ways Costco and Apple are prestige labels for more affluent people, i.e. the cool/rich people shop at Costco and buy Apple products and the poor schlubs go to Walmart/Sam's and buy Android and PC products. While I don't like being poor, I'd rather be a schlub than a snob.

In fact, one person I know used to joke about going to Costco being a religious experience to the point we both started calling it the "Church of Costco" and "Church of Apple". When he told me he went to Costco he would say "I went to worship at the Church of Costco today". True story. Not a joke, man.

I would rephrase that. Google is a good search engine, but they are not most people's friends as they collect, monitor, and send a copy of everything you do through them to the govt.

The inverter generator is back at the same price as last year. I used it for 3.5 days last week during a region wide power outage. It runs great on propane.
Appears to be a good deal and dual fuel. Since its an inverter... THD is low <3% ... Some non-inverters are up to 10-20% which is bad for electronics

Steer clear of the Michelin Wiper Blades. Even at $6.99 they are not worth it. Pure junk.

I'd go into the store and see what Membership will do but do it soon. A couple days after for $500, probably. A week or 2, no. At $500 it is worth a return/Rebuy if nothing else. And they don't want to deal with that.
The 30 day price adjustment (PA) policy is YMMV. I can't find it in writing anywhere except for online purchases. In-club seems to depend on the CS you get. I've PA'd stuff 40+ days without issue, and I've also had "the one guy" that gave me an earful for being at 31-32 days. Seriously dude, I'm going to get my way, there's no need to be sanctimonious.

That said, the return/rebuy tactic is something you can always use, however with large items not so easy to pull off. What I've done in the past is approach CS, ask them for a PA. When they start talking about "30 days" I just tell them what I am going to do - load up a cart with some giant heavy and bulky thing, buy it, then haul it to them for a return, and it will then be in their way and they'll waste an employee's time hauling it back. They typically then realize that refusing the PA is stupid. I will say though, that typically those transactions don't go through as PA's but instead a buy/return but on paper only - literally, ring up the SKU, pay for it, then immediately return the item. The math is the same in the end but I think they may have some managerial or system performance metrics that dissuade them from doing PA's past 30 days.

This is correct, however in my experience they typically check to make sure the product is currently in stock and the actual current price. For that, I'll usually swing by the product and snap a photo, in case there is a discrepancy.
