Should be more like $599 now.

Give it another month and it might hit $599. So many people upgraded their computers in 2020-22 that 2023 demand is at record lows even as production ramps up. CPU, RAM, SSD prices are all falling with no end in sight.

A friend of mine got this and it's giving him problems running games. For example Warzone 2 0 won't run. I have to update EVERYTGING in it to make it run, then it does it again after two weeks. At one point it wasn't the same error. Something else came up. My friend did the same. He couldn't find a ps5 so we went with this and he regrets it.

This is an excellent mid range gaming computer. You will def want to update the ssd and it is easy (not a lot of room to work with, but can be done in a few min). If you got it for $700 on Black Friday, you got one of the best deals around during the holidays on a desktop. This things runs really cool and can play a lot of games, not the newest AAA games at super high settings, but most anything you can throw at it. If you want a top tier gaming computer than this is not what you should be looking for, but if you want a budget gaming desktop that can do a lot at a good price get this. Who knows if the price will drop further and people with issues are the ones that yell the loudest.

decent for now but 6600xt is really over priced when you consider 6650xt performance bump

would be potentially good if u just need light gaming using the 5700g and part out the gpu

I gave you three links for evidence, you gave me zero. I said "practically guaranteed," not "guaranteed." You left out a key word on purpose because you like to argue.

The point is that the trend is strongly negative for computers and computer parts and you have zero evidence, just fanciful "what ifs," like "what if the sun doesn't rise tomorrow" what ifs. I have no time for your b.s. misquotes.

Last year this specific PC was $799 in early November, which was 4 months ago. It then fell to $699 and stayed in stock for several weeks starting on Black Friday and ending in mid/late December. It's a decent deal at $799 but clearly has room to fall, just like the entire computer industry's prices are falling. Can I guarantee that this particular model will fall? Of course not, but the trend is clearly downward, and last month we saw better deals like the water-cooled $750 Skytech with i7-11700F 3060 Ti and much better case and cooling, just as an example.

Edit to add: Sorry, I gave my links in a response to someone else up above, not to you. However, one would think you would have seen them had you read the thread. Since you can't be bothered to actually read the thread, here's your personal copy, now go away:

My feels vaguely overlaps with yours - this is a good price at the moment but not a good price considering price trends and a lower price will likely re-surface in the next 3 months. I think you tried too hard to convince others (who may have different foundational beliefs) and thus the conversation have fallen into fruitless fights.

SSD prices have been especially dramatic. I've seen a dozen of Slickdealers who expressed remorse purchasing during the holiday season because prices have fallen further. Not every component mirrors the trend of SSDs though.

If people don't believe it, then don't, there is no guarantee prices will fall, and there is also no guarantee prices won't fall. If I know for a fact that in 2020 GPU prices were guaranteed to not fall I would have been a millionaire reselling GPU parts. We try our best to let our judgement guide our decisions, but nobody knows for a fact. I don't believe this uncertainty should lead to the conclusion that "buying the best deal now is always better than waiting", though. Others may disagree.

But for people who are otherwise unfamiliar with the market and don't know when to purchase, know that there is a dozen of us who believe prices will match if not beat their historical lows during the last holiday season.

Everyone says computing prices are only headed down but I have not seen truly slick pc desktop deals in a very long time.

Good deal if you want this exact computer/specs. It costs the same amount to build.

I got this when it was $700. It has happily run everything I have thrown at it, including MS Flight Sim with graphics settings set to high/ultra, VR games using oculus quest link cable or wifi (including MS Flight Sim in VR). VR surprised me because I have heard of people having issues with radeon cards.

SSD is a bit small and I plan to replace but I am no hurry, especially since prices are trending downwards.

Most of the other components probably cant be upgraded very easily, but I don't mind. I figured I would take the money I saved and buy a brand new PC once this one starts to feel long in the tooth, rather then spend more to get something upgradable.

you can hand assemble something for $800 if you want better stuff, maybe 6650 and a i5-13400. takes an hour of youtube to learn
And, 10% of the time, a lifetime of patience to get running.

If you know what it means for a box to "post", ask yourself what you were doing when you found out. 😉

I just put this configuration together by hand three weeks ago, with an i5-12400 intel chip and 1 TB NVMe drive instead of the items listed, and a 6600 rather than 6600XT as my graphics card.

It cost me $1030. Feeling kind of silly now.

My son doesn't play Warzone 2.0 but I don't see why this pc wouldn't run it as these specs easily beat the requirements for that game. Got this for him on Black Friday and he loves it.
