Thanks! This concludes my search for next year's backpacking jacket. If you're buying for something similar (Reasonably light, packable, warm, durable, cheap, warm while wet):
1 - Super warm, with about 2x the heat retention of the generic puffies you'll see so many deals for, right now. Synthetic insulation means it's also warm while wet (Rain, dew, sweat).
2 - Packability is a bit mixed. It will pack way down, but not into a pocket. So you'll need a separate stuff sack. You could probably use a gallon Ziplock for partial compression, and protection, then just (carefully?) cram it into your pack or luggage somewhere.
3 - 1.5-1.7 pounds is pretty average, about 2x heavier than the more expensive puffies (2x price on super sale) or the aforementioned generic puffies (1/2 warmth, 1/2 price). I'm cheap, with no injuries, but many would pay 2x for 1/2 weight, to save their knees and ankles.
4 - Durability is entirely from other reviews. But it seems to have much more than the expensive light puffies, as well as the cheap down ones.
Keep in mind - this is all based on research and general experience, not my own experience with the product. I don't care a whit for how my backpacking gear looks, but it doesn't seem so bad as these other reviews say. Hope this helps.
My girlfriend has this in brown and she loves it but it is warm she says very very warm. UGLY AS HELL and no better in real life but I only have to be seen with her wearing it luckily I don't have to wear it🥴🤢

I ordered one a few months ago from Amazon and returned it. It's very much a slim fit and the torso was way too short for me. It seemed like a nice jacket, just not good for layering. I ended up going with another Columbia 2-1 parka instead.

Shame they never include tall sizes in the sale price (and the plain navy). Note that the inside is really shiny. I have a similar Columbia jacket and only wear it zipped up because the heat reflective interior is just way too much bling for me. Mentioning this bc I bought without knowing about that particular feature.
