I think normal price was $50, no? I have the not-so-cheap Nemo Stargaze Recliner Luxury Chair that goes for $250. Pick your poison.

It's now 29.97.

It's bulky and not quite suitable for shorter people who don't like dangling their feet...

There is also a green one for $59.99 online at Costco and $49.99 in store.

Several weeks back, I noticed the blue and brown ones were $59.99 online and had $10 off, so I was going to buy the green one in store, but saw that one was NOT $10 off the $49.99 in-store price. Later on, I noticed after the online "sale" ended, the blue & brown on-line ones went down to $49.99 (without $10 off). Then a while later, they went down to $39.97 and I didn't pull the trigger, still debating. Just got an alert (on my browser) saying it was now $29.97 (something I accidentally installed to my browser that also shows limited price histories & coupons). Only the blue are left now, the brown was actually a camo sort of thing. Pulled the trigger on 2 and then headed over to post it, but searched first and found this post.

FWIW- I am just about 5'11," so basically a bit over 1 inch taller than most guys who claim to be 6 feet tall (allegedly, on average, most guys claim to be 2" taller than they really are and I can kind of verify that just by how often friends who claim to be 6 feet tall, somehow appear shorter than me when you look in the mirror behind a bar). I tried the green version in store & it was fine.

In one of the online reviews, a shorter person said to use something to prop your legs on (like a footstool, similar folding table, or another chair) to prevent the fabric edge from supporting the weight of your legs and basically digging into your thighs. I have a couple little folding stools (3 legs with no back or armrests & they happen to be a similar blue) & might pair those with this as leaning back in this with a footstool sounds rather comfortable to me.

It looks like the "difference" between the ones that are discounted is that they are the discounted ones are last year's model (appear to be identical design) that appear to have been "recalled" but ONLY TO ADD CLEARER ASSEBLY DIRECTIONS and perhaps additional warnings to the instructions.

My guess is that the new instructions and warnings are included with these particular ones, but if you buy them, you just need to make sure the pins are securely & permanently attached to the legs and that they are properly inserted BEFORE anyone sits in the chair. See https://mobilecontent.costco.com/...-Chair.pdf

Sounds like some people assumed you could just open it & sit down (like you can with many non-hammock type folding chairs).

I've got the new green chair - the new chair doesn't have any pins or anything like that to "lock in" - it just unfolds and you put the seat in and bingo - you're ready to go.
